I agree, was trying to find a different way to organize everything... but I can't find another way. As of right now, there's only 2 major access points between the park and soundstages (Rockit's current entrance, Fallon restrooms) compared to the 4 (Minion Mayhem gate + NY Library).

I think this is a "just deal with it" year for traffic flow. There should be enough construction completed next year that more access points can open up.

Speaking of that bottleneck, how wide is that area for the exit for those five houses?

If it’s wide enough it may not be too horrible.

If they're starting at the edges - they could most likely have a house portal at Minion Way, another at Sunset Blvd, and another at Music Plaza. The question at that point would be where to put the 2 remaining.

At the moment, construction fences prevent access from Minion Way. Doubt anything changes between now and August.

Not great with only 3 houses exiting, add 2 and it should be fun seeing the chaos.

does anyone remember how they handled HHN queues back in 2008 when HRRR was being constructed? guests walking under a construction site does not seem like a good idea

I’m wondering how they’re gonna set up these queues without completely surrounding ops and entertainment TM break spaces, as well as leaving room for the makeup tent. I feel like there has to be an opening somewhere for access, probably on the backstage road since a TM cafe is there.

I truly wonder why they didn't wait until after HHN to do all of this.

Wow they really should have kept HRRR open through HHN at least lol

I wonder if the construction walls are up in that area currently for some prep work, and maybe they take them down for HHN?

I found it really odd too, but based on the timeline of building a new attraction, I don't think there was much of a choice.

Im with you on this. HHN IMO has leaned WAY too hard to the cute stuff. Lets get back to being 100% scary!

I don't necessarily know that cute stuff is what I would call it, but I think HHN has been embracing more of the idea of things that are more story, set, and impressiveness based than going full on gore crazy horror. Not that I know that's necessarily what you're talking about, but not every house (or even the majority of houses) needs to be blood and guts, demons, and chainsaws. I think the past few years have had a really diverse lineup of houses, and there was a lot of fun that can be had with each of them. There are plenty of local haunts that provide that kind of horror, and so with the kind of budget HHN has, it's better to see some sort of variety in the sets and costumes than it is to have really intense horror in every house. Some of the best houses they have done as of recently haven't been very scary at all, but have been amazing. Puppet Theater, Wicked Growth, Dead Man's Pier, the majority of the Universal Monsters houses (2019, unmasked, Legends in particular). But, they still have been providing some pretty intense or gory houses sprinkled in with those for variety purposes, and those have been really good as well (Insidious and Blood Moon). I think at the end of the day, it all comes down to variety and diversity in houses, and that really should be the focus.

This year the only house I can think of that sounds relatively generic is the graveyard house, but even then I think it sounds awesome. A Western B-Movie house, mutilated killer dolls and toys, Nordic Monsters, and an haunted/ghost artwork house are all really cool ideas, even if somewhat basic.

My thought process was: close immediately after HHN, then begin teardown of the ride. Hopefully over the course 9 months until HHN 2026, the "problem areas" of the teardown could be finished.

I wasn’t there in 2008, but I remember going to grad bash in 2010 and dueling dragons still being open. They essentially had a tunnel through hogsmeade covered in tarp or mesh that would lead you to the coasters. Not ideal but they have the means

That's true, I wasn't even thinking of that, I was thinking how many people HRRR pulls in from HHN, causing more crowds to go to the houses. Kinda stinks to have less to do, and more people in line for houses but hopefully if they bring back the lagoon show that will pull "some" of them there during that time at the very least.

Once they close an area for construction can they even legally reopen the area? If they got permits for construction in an area doesnt that make it off limits for guests if work has started?

Really not sure how that's handled, but the post above from @amar831 implies that it's possible! There may have not been much construction really happening in Hogsmeade at that point though

The only issue with this route (if construction remains the same as now) is that the walkway connecting Despicable Me to BMG has been cut off by construction. Latest Bio aerial shows that construction fencing has completely cut it off.

What I could see happening, is that the hub moves into the SS hallway behind BMG with 4 houses entrances here and the other at the traditional music plaza stage.

All house exits at Fallon restrooms.

This is good! However I think the only problem is the exit for Terrifier and Grave.

No space between SS23 and the fence for an exit path, the only alternative being to have the exit go through SS23, possibly through that little red side building thing? I'm not sure what that's used for.

Good catch. So maybe SS24 and SS25 exit back through Sunset Blvd like how they enter? That would leave 3 houses to exit out near the Fallon bathrooms, which is the status quo.

Here are all the spec maps made for HHN 34 by HNN. They seem pretty accurate epically as we get to vol. 3. We think locations for the originals are accurate as well? We know the locations for the IPs that been announced due to the flowers in the videos and they seem accurate. If the locations are accurate, any guesses on the houses for the 3 house tour by location? If the do the same locations as last year we would get Terrifier, H&C, Dolls.

I wasn’t going to HHN at that time but per Halloween Horror Nights Orlando

There were fewer houses overall and only 3 in the front that would need to have queues rerouted so maybe it wasn’t the same logistical problem to solve as there is this year.

But like I said I have no first hand experience…

It's tough to compare due to the size of the event and the size of the crowds. I don't even really remember it being a topic of discussion during the event.

Most likely a multitude of factors, but one just needs to recall HHN 2012 when Transformers was built. If the park/higher ups etc. want a ride built right this very moment...that is clearly what's going to happen. They are NOT waiting for a seasonal event to finish, as we're dealing with different departments, timelines and so forth.

Yeah - as much as HHN pulls its weight, the good of the future of the resort will always take priority.
