Opening zone. It was already done mostly last year so why not just get rid of it. Plus the Hollywood zone is also basically right there.

yep. the front of the park will never ever have a proper scarezone thanks to minions so they might as well just remove it completely.

better to have those actors and the prompts and budget wasted in that tiny front area to be used somewhere else.
make the Hollywood zone bigger or more robust. more props or something.
bigger stages with more decorations.

No more Blumhouse zones. Last years was bunk and the couple years before when they did that short film site online zone was bad too, forget what the name was. They were more interested in promoting the brand than making a good zone. I don’t think they realize that making a good zone is how they should promote the brand.

As long as they still put the big Horror Nights sign somewhere I'll be good. I've always wanted to walk under it, but the years I went it wasn't used. xD (And no one knows if I'll ever get to come back.)

No opening zone also tells me no icon. As the opening zone usually serves as the main icon zone. Yeah they can fit into other zones like Dr. Odddellow did recently but the opening zone was still his whole other zones were others and he just was wrote in.

I actually really liked the logistics, scope, and size of the front zone last year, certainly compared to previous years. Having the icons up in the rafters was great IMO; but that also may just have been that our timing for our first entry was perfect to catch their intro bit. Also felt that the number of scare actors actually on the street was way more manageable. But this also could have just been the timing of each occasion we had to walk through that area.

I think they need to do *something* in that area to welcome you in.

That IS interesting. Does that mean no one else can enter prior to 7:30, and what does that do to stay-and-scream?

Or is it literally just a special gate? Which I think they always had, correct?

Edit: got clarification from other posters. I was totally misreading this. :-)

Yes, they always had it. But they’re referring to the fine print which name checks premium scream night. There is an odd off day in the middle of September…

Oh I agree but yes for you is was good timing but if you showed up to the event after 1/2 hours there was nothing. The icons went to there zones and we only had the few actors in the street. And I went through there a few times without even seeing them as crowds were just to big.

Guess they could do what they did with Sinist3r and Surr3al and have there zone be NY/Holloywood.

I think that’s the problem. That area is just always congested no matter what. People entering HHN, people leaving HHN, proximity to a popular house entrance, etc.

The more elaborate the zone there, the worse it gets, especially if it turns into a good photo opportunity area. I know I helped stop traffic when I first entered to film the icons for a bit. But I would personally rather some form of zone / intro and deal with the congestion over nothing at all.

Given earlier talk about a Mel's themed zone, it would make a ton of sense to me if they cut the opening zone but used the resources freed up to shift/expand Hollywood all the way to the Hollywood/Sunset intersection in front of Mel's to make it more central to the event, rather than being tucked away in its own little corner.

So I know it probably won't be this year but... I really hope we get a Sinners house. Whether this year or next, it needs to happen! It's WB so idk how likely it is but I hope it happens. If it somehow happens this year I'll be so happy.
