I think, for now, TLoU is our best bet, probably for next year though. Until Dawn would ROCK but I'm not sure how much the people behind the game have shown interest in doing a Universal attraction.

Until Dawn really is tailor made for HHN in terms of environments and scares. Admittedly the odds of it happening are probably close to zero at the moment. The only reason I could see it coming is if Sony pushes hard on the marketing for the remake.

Makes me think if they are finally considering closing F&F.

But it's odd they would do that from a capacity perspective at the moment. If Mummy can open in time for July it would make sense. Opening up Mummy in time for the summer peak season, and in time to work on the house for HHN.

Yeah I agree. It seems odd that they would use the F&F queue unless they have other plans for it. They would have to close F&F in a couple months in order to start building the house. I personally am not sure how they would even do a facade for the house since it seems rather packed in. We will see what happens

They’ve closed Supercharged seasonally before, when parks were dead during pandemic. It’s an easy choice to close something seasonally with such poor guest ratings. But this is temporary just for this HHN, if it happens that is.

We all hope they have bigger plans for this ride, but this isn’t the smoking gun I’m afraid.

Agreed. This was a pivot due to the planned construction near Tent 3 (MIB Tent) - not because of any closure plans.

In the subject of The Last of Us, with the HBO series not airing until 2023, I can see them holding off on using The Last of Us until then, so they can cross-promote the TV series alongside that of having it gel with HHN.

There are rumors of a reboot title for TLoU on Playstation5, so who knows.

Completely closing a ride for HHN use is something I can't get behind, Supercharged or not.

Having 10 houses is a big win in my book. Closing Supercharged as a side effect is just icing on the cake.

(this post is a joke, as I agree, it’s weird that one of the resort’s newer attractions is a go-to for seasonal status at all, but here we are.)

Alternatively, since the Fear Factor stage and tent area will be closed off, could they put another scarezone back there to help spread things out? Otherwise that's a lot of wasted space and who knows if Springfield will have clowns again.

Okay so is F&F serving as a replacement for Shrek or Tent 3? Because if the VR attraction has been moved back to EU, as rumored now, then there shouldn't be a reason to not use Tent 3 this year.

AFAIK the move was due to Tent 3.

But just because plans are supposedly canceled doesn't mean they can just throw whatever into Tent 3 (unless something unforeseen happens and they need a location in a pinch.)

Feel free to tell me I am stupid,

But if they are holding back on the Fear factor being demoed, could they take some of that space inside and put a house there?
I don't how much space the stage and backstage areas take up but you could put a temporary stucture there and pop a house in it.
There could be some problems in terms of power and airconditioning but I am sure they could work something out.

The plan is for 10 houses. They are given locations and plan for said locations. So you can't just decide to take whatever is planned for F&F and throw it in somewhere else because dimensions change, logistics change, etc..

As stated above - if something unforeseen happens and they need a location in a pinch, it'll be Tent 3.

Assuming FFL gets torn and whatever happens, happens, I am to assume the trailer for the project would be directly on the place where Tent 3 would be; yes?

sorry if I sound dumb, just got into the convo.

Maybe? I think it was more the proximity of construction.

So if I'm getting the story right, Fear Factor set for demo, they decide F&F will be the new house location, KidZone Curse strikes and FF is spared, but since it was already set in place, F&F will still be used instead of Tent 3?

would be a bold move for universal to create a haunt at F&F, and just keep it there for the short-term post HHN lmao

*if they make it family-friendly obviously lol

Even if they did that, there wouldn't really be a particular IP that'd make sense for that.

The exception could be Ghostbusters, but that's really depending on how they'd play that.

Makes sense in context of those above. Weird choice, and I really wonder what's in Universal's minds here.

well yeah maybe not this year (who knows) but so many scenes fit hhn so perfectly I can't imagine it not being part of hhn.

So we are now on 'Construction Wall Watch' at Fast and Furious ... for HHN, ha.

I actually enjoy the ride, just needs a more accurate name like F&F presents: Party Bus.
