I thought the best of zone was in New York and the original was in Hollywood?

The original zone locations were incorrect on the map (intentionally?). The most recent spec map had the updated ones.

I doubt it'd be a complete replica. Especially since Hollywood and Orlando's HHN teams are different. I'd imagine a recreation would be Orlando taking the structure of Hollywood's house and making it their own. Think how Hollywood and Orlando do IPs, they tend to have the same structure but the actual execution is different.

I would agree with this any other year

If they are trying to conserve the budget this year, cutting and pasting an already established design is exactly what you should do

As long as it’s not the repeated long black hallway with a cheap scare from your upper left/right in between each scene I don’t mind a black wall every so often

I mean as far as I'm aware Orlando has spare money to avoid black walls by comparison, so that along with the different space and design teams entirely I'd say its not really something to worry about. I'd say expect a 2016 AHS situation, same basic themes, different execution.

I absolutely love this. I wonder if this'll bring on new stories since the Icons are gonna be locked away presumably forever. (Although, yeah, Jack is the moneymaker lmao.)

I am thrilled about all this Creepshow talk so a replacement that has effort although depending on how far along the Billie house got I wouldn't be surprised if they just did another HHN 25 and just spray painted the house to death and called it Purge again lol

I don’t think it means any changes going forward with the relationship between Marketing and Entertainment. The decision to tell that story with the team was wholly the design team’s. You’re getting two anniversary houses and three anniversary zones. That’s not really a “clamp down” of any sort.

Dunno. It all depends on if it was shot for the commercial or shot the rumored VQ set-up.

I think it was rumored that Creepshow was going to happen in 2020 in the Shrek location, but then Billie was "forced" on Orlando. I read that somewhere, perhaps the "site that shall not be named." They probably already had some stuff done / borrowed from Hollywood so that's why they made it a Zone.

I would be surprised if the Zone still happened this year as it's so far away from the house (as others have said) and not worthy of moving to the closer "prime real estate" zone locations and for an Anniversary year to have a relatively small movie (yes, it had two of the biggest names in horror involved, but is really a cult film) that seems to be lacking in the cultural conscious plus a series on a streaming platform that took 4 years to reach 1m subscribers late last year, just seems too small to get this double treatment. Also, as the sole IP scarezone, it seems pretty weak. Not to mention the strong relationship with Netflix, another streaming service that has over 200m active subscribers, giving a niche little streamer more attention and "air time" just seems to be a bad business decision.
