I mean as far as scare zones we may have a general idea of what those would likely be like from previous speculation maps

It’s not a clue. I’ve heard of a specific company that’s in negotiations with Universal. That company owns several IP rights that could theoretically appear. That’s all I’ve heard. I don’t even know which specific rights would have been discussed.

Over or under 2 days before someone posts a list of every major motion picture company & streamer and the top 5 IPs they each have possible for HHN :)

This was my assumption - that the shows/zones would be staying the same as well.

At this point as long as I can attend relatively safely, Bride remains one of the houses, I can eat some twisted taters and get a lil sloshy on duff I don't care what the rest of the event has. I just want to do something this fall after teaching in a sh*tshow all year.

I will be EXTREMELY happy to see the return of marathon of mayhem in some capacity. I have not seen if the general consensus is its returning, but that seems like a no brainer given how popular it was last year.

Popular, and no cast that you have to worry about social distancing (or them behaving badly and getting banned). I know nothing but HHN needs at least one show and this one seems the most practical.

While I want this to come back, it would require LOTS of guest social distancing as people were packed in when they ran it last time

I see a lot of people say it would be hard to social distance in those spaces, and I can see why they say that but how hard would it be just to make some tape like squares along that walkway and put each party and assign them into one square. Have each space 6 feet away from the next, could work well.

In theory not hard

In practice it COULD be considerably more difficult

It being dark, guests being at varying levels of intoxication, demand for the show, queueing for the show, directing people to the squares, etc

These considerations could make it too much of a headache for Universal to want to even try to make it work

Or, maybe not. It’s all just speculation.

More telling to me is looking at what they had planned for 30. As I recall, there was talk of there being no shows planned for 30 at one point, so if we are expecting the same zones and houses, I think we should also expect the same shows (or in this case lack thereof)

I can see laser pointers like they sometimes have in houses. But you got me at the people being intoxicated, I can only imagine a bunch of drunks falling all over each other xD.

OK, this is baseless speculation, but with Legacy saying they are discussing a possible IP to be coming to come to HHN....Army of the Dead looks interesting. Netflix is already working on prequels and an animated series based on this so they probably have something launching in the fall timeframe. Synergy, existing relationship with Netflix, a huge finanical investment by them (budget rumored at $90m), Zombies in Casinos (differentiating it from The Walking Dead), cocktail waitress zombies, fast zombies (again, differentiating it from TWD), etc. Seems like a match made in heaven...minus the the relatively small Shrek location restraints.

I meant the top 5 possibilities from each: Netflix, Shudder, etc in an attempt to try to pry out hints from Legacy to narrow down the list.

I think zombies could be considered “controversial” since the whole pandemic

So @Legacy let's say I make a list with production company's and some of their top IP's just so we can get a good idea what's coming, would you be cool with it? I just don't want to start anything hectic...

I also don't want you to feel pressured in revealing something you don't think is possible at the moment.
At the end of the day I'm just trying to keep Spec alive and just want everyone to have good fun but make sure I am not abusing any information that people feed us.
TY.

I was thinking maybe we could in the wish list page so this one doesn't blow up with useless speculation

I didn't realize pandemic victims were rising from the dead. Beetlejuice having the recently deceased in it would be more relevant and "controversial" in that context. Dying from real life injuries (car accidents and stuff, been a while since I watched so can't remember exactly) versus fictional zombies.

Please don't do that...I was joking about how that's what people have done in the past hounding him for clues. He's busy and doesn't know specifics, when he knows something solid he'll surely provide some nuggets to fuel speculation.

I meant more of its usually diseases or pandemics that lead to outbreaks which could be controversial. I believe Army of the Dead is a sequel to Dawn of the dead which was a rapid contagion that changed people into zombies.

I don’t think they want to do it because it’s a tired concept.
