I'm honestly starting to think we won't actually get a HUGE drop, but definitely a double announcement tomorrow then Legendary Truth + Scarezones next week.

Idk, a Friday the 13th in August has to be tempting to marketing. Also Howl-o-Scream sort of hinted at a Friday reveal, might want to steal their thunder.

It's been a rough and emotional 2 year roller coaster for everybody. The boards have been a wonderful escape, as well as just other people equally bummed out when we lost last years event. I don't really know anybody else who is into it in the real world, so was kinda nobody gave a dam..darn. Appreciation to all for information and giving us stuff to think on and look forward to. My cancellation has nothing to do with plexiglass and i'll wish I was there in the fog. Those of you with the guts to go..have a

if you are gonna cancel your trip over a rumor then by all means don't go. fewer people equal more time for me to enjoy the houses. I wasn't able to attend last year for the first time since 2002 and I'm just grateful we are having an event this year!

Of course that's it...the houses low on my anticipation list have all moved up based on the announcement...particularly Icons.

What house announcement are you looking forward to most? For me it's probably Wicked Growth, as we really know little to nothing about the premise.

I'm looking forward to the food and merch announcements. For all of our complaints, we knew 80-90% of the houses since last year, but merch can be different designs from what came previously. Plus with TCM as an IP, I've been looking for a fun shirt to rep the franchise.

Most importantly, I need to know what sugary nonsense I'll be filling up on while I'm there and if BBQ is on the menu.

At the moment looking forward most to Hill House, if it is true that this will be a slow suspenseful psychological build, then this could end up being a truly great house.

And there’s no practical difference between presenting the information the way I did versus just saying “plexi is rumored to be getting installed starting this week.” None. If y’all expect me to cater to your immaturity on this crap then I am out. Period. I’m moving to Korea so it’ll be easy.

Anyone who can afford to drop hundreds or thousands of dollars on a HHN pass or trip should be expected to have a modicum of critical thinking ability. Failure to practice that with their own money is on the individual. If they’re incapable of doing that, then they need to grow the hell up. I don’t feel bad or guilty about their petulant impulses, but I refuse to let you or anyone else try and push their childish responses onto me.

Seeds of Extinction from 2018, one of my all-time favorites. And I could be misremembering, but I believe someone said Wicked Growth would be similar in the sense that the scares are camouflaged.
