Going into this year, being the 30th anniversary of the event, has anyone stopped and thought about HHN XX? We are seeing Fear brought back this year, but I remember HHN XX was supposed to start a new age of the event and we would see who the next Jack the Clown would be and so on and so forth. I always wonder sometimes when we see the icons come back, what would have been if they followed through with that idea. And is Fear still in charge of the icons. Hopefully we’ll see some clarification of that lore this year.

Two things I think we all need to accept, bill and teds isn’t coming back soon and uni doesn’t give two sh*ts about the lore

I mean post HHNXX the event changed dramatically...In my opinion, post HHNXX have been some of the most successful years in Horror Nights history

Oh I agree aside from 22-23…I don’t think there’s been a down year since 25, they’ve all gotten progressively better in my opinion

Looking at scare zone construction, SF continues to be a Catch-22 of a zone. On one hand, the various set pieces look great!...but the zone will most likely continue to be a cluster.

It's entertaining (and really interesting) to read through the old speculation thread. Good times of speculating and figuring out clues for the 30th anniversary before everything went to crap.

Do we know what the longest house will be? I'd imagine it's probably Beetlejuice, seeing as how the soundstage houses are all sharing.

Hill House could also be the longest. It's in the new parade building so it also has a really large space.

Don't the New Parade houses only take up a small space of the building though? Plus can't old Parade houses now use the whole building?

Not that Hill House won't be long, I can see it being one of the longer ones this year. But I think Beetlejuice will probably be the longest.

I think old parade houses, or at least Beetlejuice, only use half of the old parade building.

 

[Legacy]

Old Parade building uses about half of the total space for houses. New Parade uses about a “quarter” of the building. I air-quote it, because both SoX and Monsters were loosely built within that available quarter of space. If both houses were denser, they likely could have taken up only 1/6th the total space.

I don't know (sorry if this should go in Icons thread) but I have gone from super excited for it to nervous if it is big enough like is it big enough to fit everything I/we want/expect in it??? I think Icons could've been a mega house....but from the lineup other houses I don't think others need to be a mega house yes I agree

I think the arch itself is just gonna be what it is. By the time you see that, they have your money already.

Pretty much. The arch decorations for me fall in the same boat as a custom website for the event. Yes, it would be nice if it's changed up, however what matters more for me is what's inside the event itself.
