If Universal is satisfied with their own treatment of Mardi Gras, based on today, and things remain the same from a, virus that shall not be named, standpoint, I would put money on Universal having a next to normal scarezone setup. MAYBE scareactors on stages, etc.

The only time I've seen the streets the way they were today, was during HHN. Not saying it's safe, but if they're happy with it, normal SZ's here we come.

If we get normal SZ's, would we get normal houses as well, ie. no plexiglas or pulsing ???

I would say it is to early to say that yet. For now expect pulses and plexiglas to be on the safe side

It’s way easier to put plexi glass in now and not need it than it is to add it last minute.

For all things like that I would just expect this year, whether required or not it’s good planning to be over prepared.

Honestly, this seems like a good plan and what I was expecting if the event happened last year

Not saying it would translate 1 to 1, but I thought the scarezones at Busch Gardens worked very well

I could see something like that working in Studios

I was picturing Vanity Ball but without the scares on the ground

But the plexiglass seemed to be added quickly last year

I'm sure there are better ways to implement it into the house design given more time

I wouldn’t expect it. The replacement house was likely designed by the end of 2020.

Yes it is better for performers and sad that they get attacked on a regular base but it really takes sth away for some scares if they can’t come at you

I haven't personally witnessed it either, but I'm not surprised. Overindulgence plus stupidity and/or bravado can result in many unfortunate things.

Happened to me about three times a night in Catacombs.

We saw one of the doll girls get shoved from behind in Chucky’s zone.

The person who did it seemed to be a teenager who did it to be funny.

She identified him right away to her Ops manager and we watched security go talk to him.

We have friends who work haunts on the West Coast that have horror stories

If I was that OPS manager not only would she get banned for life, but push for charges to be filed.
No one should have to go to work everyday with a dread they may get assaulted, especially with the scare actors that have so much passion for what they do.

Believe me it is really common and not an unfamiliar problem to every haunt. I experienced it here in the US at different haunts and at the Halloween Horror Festival in Germany where I worked
