Ok, got my tickets ready for Sunday, so I have to make my usual question. As someone with ophidiophobia, I can barely stand the sight of snakes. Last year in the Tomb of the Ancients, I nearly had a panic attack in the room with hissing while you walk through hanging ropes. Are there any houses that I should be worried about this year? (Feel free to PM or reply with a spoiler tag if you want to keep it a surprise for those who haven't visited yet this year)

Yeah Dead Waters is the only one that comes to mind to me. They were static decorations you really had to be looking at the stuff on the counters to even notice.

Ok, just walking out of Dead Waters now. There’s a few more than I remember, but again if you’re not looking for them you very likely wouldn’t even notice.

Man, I just realized my first HHN was #7. I think that makes it 20 years ago.

I never went back until #22, so not something I think of often....but the only think I recall is Bill & Ted. The were with Captain Kirk flying the starship around and were invaded by some cartoon Arnold from some Batman (and Robin I think) movie...crazy the memories one keeps verses the ones we lose!

just look how amazing he looks and how powerful his presence is.. him and his female minions. He is so badass...
Now that I think about it, with the armor and the scythe and the cape and everything, he is what I expected FEAR to be like.
I know fear had the whole "Roots" thing going on in his body and on the scarezone,
but I could see BONE more as the king of scares and the King behind all the other icons.
I would believe BONE more as the creature that reigns fear than FEAR himself. this guy looks like he could control the other icons, a creature from the underworld that creates and controls fear. he just looks that badass and mystical
Im glad to have him even as non icon form.

Saw on my friends Instagram story, that a big fight broke out in line for the Hive house. Things looked like they got pretty rowdy. It was right now too. :frustrated"

I noticed that in academy of villains, that some fans are starting to create callbacks to the show, kinda like rocky horror callbacks.
I dont know if it happens every night but it was fun to see tonight

Hey guys, I've followed this forum for years and am planning on attending the event later this month. I asked this same question over at HHN Nightmares but I wanted to get the experts opinions here too.

Has this event generally been slow on Halloween night itself for the past two years? I know it used to be and that's the night I'm aiming for this year.

If so, do you think that trend continues this year? Have Wednesdays been slower? I think those were new dates added this year to try to meet the demand. For all the pros here who have actually been on Halloween, do you think it will be slower this year still?

I know they added a Monday this year before Halloween too. I figured people would be busy doing other stuff that night.

Someone over at HHN Nightmares said it was slower last year but super busy 3 years ago. But that has to take into account that Halloween fell on Friday the 13th that year.

What has been your guys experience here? Would I be better off waiting for the first weekend of November if I don't care about attending around Halloween? I would get an express pass regardless.

Thanks for your input

As long as a weeknight, no more than moderately crowded. Especially this year with two more "final nights" coming. A lot of people have kids who want to trick or treat, a lot of people just can't stay out late on a Tuesday when school in session.

I expect Monday the 30th to be empty. I doubt much of central Florida even knows the event will be open. Ditto Friday, November 3. November 4 might be a bit busier just because last night and final Bill & Ted ever.

Wait, what?

But even when it did fall on Friday, not as crazy as, say, this Friday will be. Lot of parties to compete with. This Friday, HHN the only Halloween game in town. Expect it to be slammed.

C'mon guys. Honest mistake. Flip 13 and you get 31. We gotta be a little bit more inviting to members, especially new ones.

I honestly didn’t even think of the numbers being flipped and the weird thing is I saw someone else talking about the 13th as Halloween when it fell on a Friday. I was beginning to think there was something to this.

Did anyone go last night? Oct 22nd? It seemed a lot less crowded then all the years I've gone before on a Sunday.

It was a decently crowded night that started slowing down around 12. Definitely a slower Sunday of the year.

This year feels less crowded than previous years.
I can feel the difference. The line houses might still be long but the park overall feelsless crowded.

I do wonder if the walking dead really did make that much of a difference.

Prob not.

I just don't think this year featured a proper "1-2 punch". Also, lack of a direction may have hurt. A proper marketing build in the Summer months (I'm speaking beyond just announcing houses.)

I think a bunch of little things have attributed to feeling slower.

Dynamic pricing helps, too.

I think there's no question they hit a point of diminishing returns on Walking Dead headliners.

Still, the permanent Hollywood maze still pulls 120 minute waits during Horror Nights.
