Halloween Horror Nights 2026 (USH) - Speculation & Rumors

I’m bringing this up because I recently watched DCThrills (s/o to him) and he mentioned several vids ago that there was potentially trouble bts w/ Hellraiser due to merch and now he doubled down on it in his latest video. There’s a disagreement on the percentage of the merch. He believes if HR gets announced, it will probably be announced last.

I don't even get how this happens, they are claiming they didn't notice two more Terrfier films were made? Like I get if they sued after the second movie was made but they are almost done with a 4th film, and they just announced Art coming to Dead By Day light

I really hope this doesn't affect the rumored Terror Tram....that was my most hyped thing coming to the event

DC Thrills has generally not been a reliable source of rumors, so I wouldn't read too much into what he's claiming here.

I don't think this would have any impact on the event this year. If this lawsuit isn't dismissed or settled out of court, I don't think think it would reach litigation in time to potentially effect anything that may be planned.

I see two ways this could have come about:

1. Ruthless' lawsuit is basically factual, and they were trying to work out a deal via settlement with Leone to get a share of Terrifier profits. Negotiations could have been going on for years before a suit was filed.
2. Ruthless is stretching the truth, and is just trying to get Leone to pay a quick settlement rather than dealing with a litigation headache.

I don't think that they'd be able to get an injunction against Terrifier being used at Horror Nights in either case. It's hard to see how that would harm Ruthless in a way that couldn't just be compensated with money if they prove their case.

You sure? Orlando's opening night is on the 28th, with their TM Previews and such earlier than that. And historically they've had all the houses revealed at least a month in advance if not more.

If the rumor is true about the merch kerfluffle behind the scenes, this would buy them more time to sort it out.

Also I don’t think they care as we all know Universal is in the business of holding off as long as they can on announcing stuff.
