For me, if all the rumors pan out, this is the most uninteresting line up since the event started. May not even bother with a FFP this year for the first time ever. Literally have zero interest in nearly any of these (Poltergeist and Monstrous/Dolls are the closest, but not enough to get a FFP).

Guess I've aged out of these properties. Hoping for a surprise to turn me around.

I’m with you @Rideguy70 . I think the WWE rumor and Terrifier pushed me away. It’s a dream come true - just not *my* dream come true.

If Poltergeist is actually a plussed version and not a 1:1 rehash, then maybe I’ll fork over a Sunday GA. As of now? I’m really disappointed.

Crash course breakdown:

You check-in. You'll fill out a paper. Can't remember if they do the measurements before or after. But you wait until your number is called for the group session.

You spread out & act like a monster going after its prey, culminating in "the kill" (don't cross the line, don't touch the cones, don't touch each other. Be aware of your space & yes, you can react to others in character)

Then you line up & do the solo scare, which is nerve-wracking. Again, dont touch the cones (aka guests).

You'll line up again infront of the panel of judgment who decide your fate. One by one you will "die", BUT it can't be the same way as those who went before you (its less pressure if youre one of the first 5 to die)

THEN they'll kick you out of the room for the anxiety session while you wait for them to decide your fate. Someone will come out & start calling out numbers of those who "made the cut"

IF you make the cut, it means you're good enough & they liked what they saw. However, it does NOT mean you have been cast.

You will do a quick interview if selected & then be released to wait forever to get a casting email if you get cast for a role.

Hope that helps.

I agree the lineup is sucky so far but some reason I'm kinda excited for FNAF? I think the vibe could be kinda fun. Terrifier also isn't my thing, but I recognize it could work as a maze. And oddly on the other end of the spectrum, I am super into WWE but don't think that would work as a maze (and I also do not believe those rumors whatsoever, I don't mind eating a big bowl of crow if it happens, but I refuse to believe it or even lean that way in the meantime until I am given any shred of actual spec that makes sense).

Just remember, this is the same event who gave us a WWF Undertaker house in 2000. So it wouldn't be too far-fetched.

Also we had a Luchador SZ last year.

Wow, that’s terrifying. It does help to know what to expect. I guess I need to do extensive research and practice.

It is very nerve-wracking & anxiety inducing, but what audition isn’t? Basically show up dressed to move (think the gym or kpop dance challenges).

I always end up defaulting into feral snarling vampire beast mode because its my safety scare. Don't remember how I "died" last year, probably multiple stabbings or bullets lol

You'll do fine. Just have fun

Surprised there isn't more excitement for Friday. First time back at the event since 2017, eight years ago!

And the first time solo since 2010! That's a long time ago!

And that was just the 2009 remake version.

2007/2008 would make it 18/17 years ago.

Yep. Thats right. Murdy has been handling our event for almost 20 years.

I know Monsterpalooza is "small" compared to Midsummer Scream, but the fact there was a Terrifier panel this past weekend... :eyes:

It feels like such a missed opportunity to drop that announcement, even if it was done vaguely like FNAF.

Especially since Orlando is supposed to get an HHN panel at Spooky Empire (which Murdy will be in town for on the east coast?)

Because they don’t want the announcement of FNAF to be muddled by a Terrifier announcement by one day?

They can’t just announce stuff whenever they feel like it. They have to cross check with the rights holders, marketing, the bean counters, etc.

It’s also solid business/marketing sense to not announce big IPs really close to each other. Let the info drip out.

Thank you captain obvious. I'm well aware of the legalities of IP contracts. But as we already established, FNAF came off as an "oops" moment due to the time of day.

These big IPs aren't going to cannibalize each other. Didn't hurt 2007 pr 2016. My point is... missed opportunity due to the panel.

But i also prefer the vague announcement style FNAF got. I'd rather see these IPs confirmed sooner, then elaborated upon later. It creates hype, but leaves fans wanting more
