I wonder if it's Kevin feeding HHN365 that nasty knowledge then. I wouldn't trust him for a country mile.

In all seriousness: I do believe Scarecrow is probably back. We had the Grim Stitch leak; to a point of where they had to revise the video as a resultant of the matter.

Doubt it'll have the same ending though as 2022's. La Llorona in 2011 and 2012 had completely different endings that differentiated from eachother; even if they had been configured correctly with the original version. Imagine Scarecrow will follow that trend.

So if both Hollywood and Vegas can have Scarecrow the reaping…..what’s stopping universal monsters? I still don’t think monsters is happening but like it’s weird right?

Genuinely speaking: I think it matters because of UDX having both Universal Monsters at Horror Unleashed and Dark Universe at Epic being their two big UM investments for this year. Better to let them shine without the interferrance of a outside factor stepping in. I also think the less than glowing reception to Eternal Bloodlines on both coasts (*especially Hollywood, even if I loved it*).

Better to let the permanent installations have their chance to shine; then come back in the main anniversary years for both Hollywood and Orlando.

The Universal Monsters is not an exhausted IP yet. It has so much more potential to play with for storytelling & solo outings.

**EDIT: Let Hollywood have it's legacy. Orlando & Vegas shouldn't hinder our event content just because they have something permanent.

Although now I want quotable one-liners after Eternal Bloodlines

True but while I loved last year's Universal Monsters maze I do agree that it was a disaster. Almost every scene had black walls and it just felt like it could have been better. The storyline was so good though and I felt like they could have done more with it if almost every scene did not have blank walls and little theming. I think we should give the monsters a rest so that next year they can come back stronger than ever.

That's assuming that theory is even correct re: Scarecrow. It's similar but that doesn't mean it's the exact same. It's also early in construction and there's still things they need to add. Things change

It’s the exact same layout it even has the notch at the end of the first hall where the grandfather clock goes. The facade prep on the left hand side is shorter than the right hand side just like the original as well. You even have the scareactor space where the scarecrow bursts through the dining room window. The dead giveaway would be the hexagonal pattern in the layout for one of the rooms (I think that was the roost I don’t remember) but that was like pretty unique to scarecrow the reaping. Unfortunately the soundstage is covering where that would be. It’s crazy that they changed the t-pad tent just to allow scarecrow the reaping to be copy and pasted there.

Interesting I don't know why but I don't think any of us expected to see scarecrow back at HHN so soon. However if scarecrow really is coming back I'm excited for it since I was there at HHN 2022 but I didn't get to do scarecrow. This year I'll remember to have my express pass though.

You’re gonna need that express pass for sure. This is the first repeat of a house I did 7 times in one night so like I’m kinda conflicted on it coming back. It’s my favorite house ever but I’d rather have repeats of houses that can be improved upon like poltergeist. Scarecrow is a perfect house in my opinion there’s nothing you can improve upon. Maybe more crow animatronics since we only had the one in the dining room the first time around? Idk we’ll see what happens

For the amount of money HHN brings in every year, it bothers me that this event has gotten into the repeat trend post-2020.

Honestly, Insidious & TCM last year weren't as offensive since they were given the franchise mash-up original treatment. So it wasn't a straight up repeat

Scarecrow & Poltergeist being a repeat is just disappointing. Also there is no guarantee the casts will bring the same energy as 2018/2022

That last bit is what I’m worried about. Can lightning strike twice with scarecrow?

I'll believe when I see it. A repeat of a house that we had 3 years ago that's also going to be in Vegas AT THE SAME TIME would be incredibly disappointing. I'm fine with Poltergeist since I didn't get to do that house but Scarecrow? Really? No thanks. Maybe it's a sequel house that's starts off the same as the original and then does something different. Idk. Or maybe the layout is just extremely similar and it's for something else. Who knows.

The budget for lightning went to FanFest for BTTF

It's really not weird at all. I think folks are still way, way too overly fixated on Hollywood/Vegas "cannibalization." For starters, it's just now how themed entertainment companies work. When something is popular, it gets cloned. And sometimes its oversaturated. But that's never stopped these companies from doing it, and they're not stopping now.

Also, it's becoming more and more clear that Hollywood HHN and Horror Unleashed are different things catering to different customers. It seems like Horror Unleashed will be a bit closer to immersive theater than a traditional HHN haunt experience, and stuff like Scarecrow and the UCM universe are perfect platforms for that. They're not gonna let "cannibalization" stand in the way.

We may not get a UCM house this year. I personally believe we will, but obviously anything is possible. If it doesn't happen, it won't have anything to do with Vegas.

The ultimate Hollywood troll move... have a Vegas themed house. (Just not Orlando's Penn/Teller house)
