I’m the same. I think WWE is too theatrical but this looks like it fits the mold of HHN and bringing properties in the spirit of something scary is exactly what I want. I don’t want thinly veiled family friendly properties.

Agreed. THIS is how you introduce a new audience to HHN.

I used to love WWE as a kid, came of age in the Attitude Era. I don’t know hardly anything about it anymore but I’d be all for this, seems like a fun fit. Maybe it’ll give me an excuse to get back into wrestling

Same (and Angel). I wish I could go back in time to see the Hellmouth Haunt from 2000! Even disregarding the Joss of it all, though, Buffy being owned by Disney now has solidified in my mind (even though it likely never had a chance anyway) that it'll never come back to HHN or any event like it, especially since they seem to have zero interest in the IP to where they won't even give it a proper remaster to make up for the terrible one Fox gave us.

All these awesome legacy IPs -- like The X-Files, too! -- that Disney now owns that could make for awesome throwback/anniversary houses and they're just sitting on them like a dragon and its hoard, which sucks when it's not like they have any desire in getting into the haunt game to capitalize on them.

Honestly never say never. Though I don't think we'll ever get Buffy or X Files at hhn... I'm hoping maybe just maybe we will some day get an Alien house at HHN. I know Disney owns the rights to Alien as well, but it can't be impossible right? I don't see how it wouldn't benefit them having an IP at hhn. Especially if it's Alien, which after Alien: Romulus is super popular again. The house would garner long waits and the merch would probably sell well. That's one of my dream IPs to come to hhn

Too early for full speculated lineup obviously, but so far, I’d say this year is getting way more interesting than I expected. This might have potential to have 2019 vibes in terms of lineup variety. A video game sequel, a popular slasher, and now a wrestling one. Making me way more excited than I should.

This is totally not something in my wheelhouse or anything I would particularly care about on the surface (just not into any sort of theatrical wrestling), but in terms of expanding the HHN audience, it could be interesting.

I watch WWE pretty regularly so feel free to ask me whatever questions you have about the Wyatt Sicks. Ultimately, they are a tribute and spin-off of a character named Bray Wyatt, who passed away in 2023 at a fairly young age. Great talent and was always super popular with the fans, but never was utilized quite in the right way in terms of overall story.

Bray Wyatt had a stable known as the Wyatt Family, which consisted of 3-5 people at any given time, mostly men, but sometimes women. Less of a family and more of a cult with ghosts and...stuff. Their fans would turn on their phone lights during their entrance while he carried a lantern and it looked like "fireflies," which basically made the name of his fans, "Fireflies." Long and short of it, they were into some pretty spooky stuff -- possession, demons, cult behavior, children show antics for some reason, etc.. There's a WrestleMania where he fights John Cena in a "Firefly Fun House" match that is definitely not a conventional match and more of a cinematic experience, and it would sound insane if I described it so must be seen to be believed. At some point, he turned into "The Demon" persona and became even more powerful, both supernaturally and physically, going onto becoming champion during this era.

His younger brother was going to join the Wyatt Family at some point, I believe, but they never quite got around to it, so to revitalize the stable and pay tribute to his brother, he formed The Wyatt Sicks which is basically a new demented Wyatt Family, and he is their new leader known as "Uncle Howdy" -- sound familiar? They debuted just this last year, but honestly haven't been around much. However, they are kinda pushed hard as a dominant force, despite losing not too long ago.

Forgot to post my feelings about it possibly coming haha:
Eh, I'd prefer straight horror movies or TV shows still. It's more horror than forcing it like The Weeknd. but it's not that exciting especially because they're more new of a stable and it definitely wouldn't be all that popular. WWE is a fairly niche thing already and then within that subset of the niche, it'd be for fans of this specific stable -- as this wouldn't generally appeal to all WWE fans. WWE fans as it is, was most popular during the Attitude Era (1997-2001), so anyone who watched 20+ years ago being told that this is a new WWE thing, I imagine would be more confused than anything. If they were to go WWE, I'd prefer the backstory of Undertaker and Kane who were popular during the Attitude Era, which they've obviously already done before and that supposedly didn't work, so I see no reason why this would be any better when that is the PERFECT story for an HHN maze.

WWE is in a very good era so I would approve of this. The rumored houses are leading up to an explosive year so far.

As much as I’d personally prefer this, I think WWE would get more eyes on the event and get people who don’t usually go interested in HHN. Hopefully we get a Luchadores house in the next few years though, that was an incredible SZ

WWE feels like it bridges a gap between IP and an original house. Kinda known and also kinda out there. Never watched WWE but Wyatt Sicks looks like a good fit for HHN and I'm totally open to it.

Universal has a history of working with wrestling groups. I remember seeing banners like this when TNA Impact was in town on some trips. It'd be neat if they ended up using the same building for the house.

A house using Angelus would've been cool. There are some meanies in the Buffyverse that would've made for a neat house.

EDIT: just realized this was for USH! lol my bad.

In regards to Buffy/Angel, don't forget they did use the Little Europe/"Court of Miracles" set area for filming scenes of the past for Angel/Spike.

In other spec, I'm still in the camp that we're getting this for HHN. It seems too easy to pass up

What's the backstory of how this came to be, anyway? Is Fallon a horror nerd or something?

I honestly doubt it. I heard it was a flop and didn't do very well.

When has that ever really stopped Universal? Supercharged exists & was cloned. So I say it's possible, especially for an easy Terror Tram (very little R&D required)

Just to get back to the Wyatt Sicks rumor, if you guys want a really good summary of the lore/backstory of it here you go. He even mentions HHN 5 minutes into the video lol. The lore here is so cool !
