In regards to Jason Voorhees, the long-standing legal battle over the franchise has seemingly come to a close. The Jason Universe initiative is a collaboration between the two major stakeholders of the IP, and have listed "immersive experiences" in their plans, along with entertainment, games, and merchandise. If any Titan of Terror were to be excluded from the event, it would likely be Freddy, as the rights to that IP are still very messy at this time.

While not the most likely, another IP I think could be in the realm of possibility is Thanksgiving. It will be getting a sequel next year, and John Murdy has collaborated with Eli Roth a number of times in past for the event.

Lots of solid arguments here already. I agree with most of the IPs already listed but I want to also suggest Welcome to Derry. I don’t know what the possibility of this property is but Pennywise at HHN would do numbers.

Peacock is also doing the Friday the 13th series so there is already a good relationship between Universal and the rights holders. I would not be surprised if HHN does a Jason Voorhees universe house because it’s been so long since it’s been at the event. I think the rights could technically be easier to license now than we are expecting.

Wow, I never actually thought it about, but good idea. IT should really come to HHN, given the IT clown actually feed on kids' fear, which is perfect for a HHN house. F13 deserves a comeback and might come next year or in 2026 if the Peacock TV show is successful.

HHN 2025 predictions

1st tier, very confident these will happen:

The Last of Us Part 2

Beetlejuice Beetlejuice

Terrifier (based on either 2-3, could be both or possibly an original take on the IP)

- I could see this being an Hollywood exclusive, however after the success of the 3rd movie I would bet on it most likely being on both coasts.

Horror of Blumhouse Vol 4. Featuring M3GAN 2.0 & Wolf Man (Or Black Phone 2)

- about this one, I could also see this house being focused solely on Wolf Man without it being HOB. But I'm not 100% sure. I just have a feeling that if we're not getting FNAF, these are the most likely candidates for the Blumhouse IP next year. Maybe Black Phone 2 but idk. Seems like a redundant IP to come back especially in another HOB house. Maybe just do a M3GAN only house? That could be really fun especially if they use a lot of animatronics like in Chucky Ultimate Kill Count.

2nd tier, possible but not completely sure yet:

FNAF

Smile 1-2

- The 2nd movie was fantastic. Also another huge box office success, especially after AQP being at this year's event I feel like unlike Scream, this is an easy IP get with Paramount. I also think if they do this house right it could be very similar to the Weeknd houses with the 2nd movie being about an music artist. It would be really cool to see!

Universal Monsters

- I don't think Hollywood would do CFTBL so if we do get a UM next year, I have a feeling both coasts would most likely do something different like they did in 2019 IF UM does come back. What would Hollywood do for their UM house? I have no idea lmao. Something based off the Mummy would be interesting.

Insidious related house (IP exclusive)

- I could see them bringing back Insidious again next year as the IP exclusive. Insidious 6 releases in 2025 so it's possible.

A Quiet Place: Day One

- Only if TLoU 2 doesn't happen. I could see this coming to HHN 2026 alongside ST5 if not next next year.

Stranger Things 5

- Though I do think that ST5 will most likely come in 2026 to HHN, I could see them pushing for it to be next year. We'll see lol.

3rd tier, not likely to happen but IPs I would love to see next year

Scream

- After the success of AQP this year, it would be nice if they finally worked it out with Paramount to do Scream. Will it happen? Probably not. But it would be a huge surprise and definitely draw in huge crowds.

Nightmare on Elm Street

Silent Hill 2

Friday The 13th

Originals I want to see happen

• Monstruos 3. In my opinion based off the success of the last 2, it's inevitable. I also just want it to be a trilogy it makes too much sense imo. What monsters/creatures would be in this house I have no idea. All I know is that I think if they brought back La Llorona I would be very happy. Full circle babyyyyy.

• Another Orlando original house. Whether it's Nightingales: Blood Prey, Dollhouse of the Damned, Leave it To Cleaver! or Graveyard Games I just hope we get another HHN Orlando original on the west coast. They're always amazing

• Krampus related original.

• Murder of Crowz house. I think they're worthy of their own house at this point

General things I want to see at HHN 2025

• For the love of god... please do not mess up operations again. This year the lines were handled so badly. Sending in people side by side was just an awful idea and made going through the houses a slog. I was constantly bumping into people and it was very uncomfortable. If it ends up being like that again next year it'll be very disappointing and I'll most likely not come back at all if so.

• More themed scarezones. They're on the right track after Murder of Crowz, but I feel like the other two scarezones could use some work.

I'd also like to say on the topic of originals--I know y'all already brought up Graveyard Games, but with the advent of Wicked and how big of a juggernaut it's turning up to be; I would be enthrilled if Scary Tales was a dual-Coast Original cocnept.

I genuinely think Holidayz in Hell as a template could do amazing things with the works of Hans and Brothers Grimm, doubly so if you even tie it with a guest music artist like SLASH, Figure, or even Mike Dean. I want to see what we can do with Scary Tales.

I think the Crowz returning is a good possibility. The Crowz have almost become a staple for the event in Hollywood. They're eye candy with the general public, and each year, the 'family' seems to grow. This past year, they even got a dedicated scare zone with an impressive baby crow animatronic.

I actually think it might make more sense to hold off on Terrifier till 2026, when Terrifier 4 should come out.

The Terrifier series usually goes in a 2 year rotation; and unless that changes, I would say it might be better to wait it out for HHN35/HHN 20' for the sake of Art (And of FNAF if I'm being honest).

Eh I disagree. Better to do it next year while the iron is hot. If it works out we can get Terrifier 4 in 2027.

I disagree, after the success of the 3rd film it'd be better to do it sooner than later like @saint.piss said.

Since HHN 2024 was similar to HHN 2022, I’m gonna take the 2023 route and connect it to 2025. 5 out of 8 houses were IPs. Also, keep in mind, Universal uses IPs from current movies of that year as well.

This is my realistic lineup with one IP that I’m bringing up due to the business with Peacock.

Stranger Things 5
The Last of Us 2
Insidious 6 (2025 film)
Wolfman or Frankenstein (2025 films)
Original Latin House
Original Orlando House
Scare Zone House
Friday the 13th (Slasher house) (Peacock)
HOB Vol. 4 (Terror Tram) (2025 films)

I don’t believe in Freddy coming back nor the arrival of Terrifier.

I would love a TOT sequel house or Terrifier to come though. I don’t want any silly houses. Bring the Fear back. Matter of fact the theme should be called “FEAR is back!”

Backlot revival would be the biggest surprise for me which would include Toxxxic Tunnel.

It shouldn’t be. Six Flags is the frontrunner for it.

Legacy (@vaden-black.bsky.social)

If the two HHN rumors I’m already hearing for 2025 are accurate, it will already be a stronger IP lineup than this year. If what I’m speculating comes true, it will be a very strong IP lineup.

Im gunna mention Nosferatu (2024) as a potential swap for Universal Monsters. It's a Focus (Universal by proxy) property and has the similar vibes. Currently very buzzy as well but we'll see when it's released later next month.

EDIT: kinda random but while looking this up I came across the fact that it seems like Universal distributes a lot of A24 films internationally so I would imagine they have a decent relationship. Makes me wonder why none of their properties have made it to the event yet.

little insight but I have friend who's a bubba in the new Texas chainsaw maze which he said that the crows will likely not come back next year.

Slaughter Sinema possibly being the Orlando Original makes alot of sense considering that Orlando just got a sequel last year and I'm sure Murdy might have something in mind for a Hollywood version of it. I wonder what the Hollywood films for the maze would be/look like. If that wouldn't work, there are always other Originals, we could borrow I would like to see graveyard Games, Puppet theater, or even Hollywood's take on a Darkest Deal maze. Regarding Army of darkness that would be amazing more Ash Williams is always welcomed at HHN

Terrifer may have been mainstream now, but it's very unlikely it will appear next year given that Universal already has most of the rumored popular IPs lined up, such as M3GAN, the original Orlando house, F13th, and several others.

I also hope Gremlins will appear in some form of capacity in the future as well. Gremlims is one of the few late 20th-century horror franchises not to receive a HHN House treatment. As for Scream, it's unlikely we might see it at HHN anytime soon due to the complexity of the rights involved.
