As far as The Ring goes I don't really think it will happen, but I kinda judge the relevance more on the way the imagery it and The Grudge (to a lesser degree) introduced is still relevant to pop culture rather than how relevant the 2003 movie is itself. I think the fact that there's knock off scary long haired ghost girls in halloween stores every year means that the films were impactful enough to permeate American culture in the same way that Universal's versions of Classic monsters have become the default versions of those creatures over and over for years without people having seen those films. It's become a halloween time trope in and of itself like a scarecrow or a grey alien. I think The Ring would be a great supporting act in a well rounded line up and would honestly be really eerie. As far as the material theres def enough there to make something work. They've done more with less. Majority of you raved about how good the Unfriended section of Blumhouse was, the Exorcist was a hit as stated before, and literally anything would be better than This Is the End.

On Ghostbuster I actually really like when non-horror/ left field choices are made I made a whole thread about ones I'd like to see a while back. I enjoyed the first Ghostbusters made. I do prefer them sparingly though I feel like they should be a treat. I think last year (for me) had too many left field choices. Even the marketing material with The Weeknd, A Quiet Place, and the most recent Ghostbusters looked really goofy to me. The rumors this year are starting to sound similar.

Adding onto this, if Monstruos 3 does come, the final room should be done in the same vain as the 'montage finale' by having every single monster we've seen in these mazes but have the set be hell itself.

As it stands--no real definitive rumors. We know objectively thanks to the Park Journeys interview in 2023 that Parisian has become the "Latin American" venue for that of the event; due to the Dia De Los Muertos Party Zone at Universal Plaza; so whatever it'll be will need to be tied towards that of latin american culture and lore (be if it's Monstruos 3, a spinoff of a previously appeared Monster, or something new entirely).

There is also the question going on with the masks that are being supplied by a group that had previously done work for USH on Scarecrow. While it could be possible that it can be for a new Scarecrow concept for Hollywood; Hollywood UC could be used as a facsimile for the means of procuring scarecrow masks for that of Horror Unleashed to use.

The only things outside of that, is primarily that of symbols from that of HNN's first Spec Map; which should likely be altered or changed to some extent come the next major spec map update (which I am gonna actually guess we are not that far off of, if it's in a near two month gap as something given for Valentines Day).

I’m still betting (and albeit some of what I’m hearing) that it won’t be Monsturous 3.

No Latin American original at all though? Feel like if they don't do Monstruos, they could still do Chupacabra or something.

Same here. Gotta remember how last year everyone was so set on the idea of not having another Monstruos maze but instead a 'Day of the Dead' maze before Cucuy started slowly creeping up on everyone. Also looking back a bit on last year's spec, anyone remember the tweets about Murdy talking about rusted wheelbarrows, gardening, and so on? Was that about Monstruos, some other IP, or maybe even a lost property?

Murdy literally asked late last year what other Latin American monsters/folklore would we like to see...

Soooo... it'd be odd not to follow through with a 3.0

Could be possible he’s springboardjng to ensure he has ideas going forward, regardless if it’s a collage ala Monstruos; or that of shining lights on singular urban legends that might make for more interesting house concepts on their own terms.

A return to the La Llorona/El Cucuy style of Urban Legend explorations might be a nice change of pace. Could even add a celebrity into it to be having an element of collaboration (and a mention of a brand included).

As much as I'd love the idea of La Llorona giving kids nightmares; we just don't have that nightmare (logistically) of the nature trail.

I miss the nature trail. I miss it unironically a lot.

We don't need the unnecessary long walk of doom. We have the cement backyard behind Bates Motel now!

Hope we keep the bloody version of the Hollywood sign.. it was a great photo-op

Imagine though a experience that has the walk of doom, the cement backyard, and the mini-maze made to be as if it's for everyone.

It'd be the "ultimate" TT in length.

Realistic talk though: hoping the "RIP" mini maze at the end becomes morphed into the main TT experience. Combine it with the tunnel in size, and make a unique "Finale" that allows the TT experience to have a definitive end. Really wish they do this for 2025.

The weird thing about TT for me is I love it because it's unique to Hollywood, but it's almost always not great (exception of last year and the early years). However, it's not really all that unique, it's just an elaborate scare zone set in an iconic/historical part of the park (which really could be any part of the Studio Tour, honestly), but when it's at its best, it feels more like an open air maze. Concepts can't be too cool because it'd better as a maze, but if it's too vague, it almost seems random -- in a way that it almost feels like it doesn't matter what the concept or IP is, it's always going to be same-ish. And it always feels too short, but when it's long, talent is spread thin.

I guess I'm finally realizing I don't care what the TT is or where the TT is, as long as the TT is there, and it should be a moderate length at most.
