Fast & Furious: Hollywood Drift (USH) - General Discussion

They didn't seem to really think through the locker layout or process. The configuration is confusing with multiple blind corners, it's extremely congested, and guests here aren't familiar with the whole "everything in your pockets needs to go in there" standard. Unlike Velocicoaster, there isn't adequate, sequestered space to wait for the metal detectors, which kept getting backed up and worsened the overall congestion. It's actively unpleasant, and I don't see a quick way to resolve it other than "admit fewer people at once."

The Lockers being full....Like I just don't don't get it
Stuff like that is just plain annoying, like sorry we didn't build this right so now the line process is worst. If this was the first kinda of coaster I more get it but they have other coasters like this in Florida and you'd think know the demand

The locker system in general is messy these days. Last week my partner was trying to get one for FJ and she gave up after 15 minutes of being sent to areas where other people had already grabbed what was left; the TM working the area told her, “I don’t know how any of this works.” I’m not sure how this could be fixed for F&F — maybe a virtual queue system where you get your locker number at the start of the queue? I doubt we’ll ever see substantial changes but a popular new ride combined with the limited space makes the current locker system untenable.

They clearly hate standby because I see trains flying full of people now and standby has been crawling. Like the line will move 10 ft every 10 min.

Not to jinx anything but out of nowhere the standby line seems to have really picked up speed. Maybe they added another train or something?

Yup, shortly after I posted, standby sped up.

Also, I FINALLY GOT TO RIDE!!!!! I’ll post my review when I can on that thread

Hate to tell you, but it’s going to be that the whole way through.

my guess would be to single rider this every time you have the opportunity.

There I go jinxing things again, lol. After a downtime, ride appears to only be running with like, one train at this point. My timer has them sending a new train out about once every 4 minutes. Which would basically mean just the Express are riding at this point.

At this point just close the whole ride rather than wasting everyone's entire day in line for a ride they may very well not ride due to the difficulties it brings.

I mean, the purpose of technical rehearsals is to test the ride in real-world conditions first, satisfy guests second. That's the bargain. I agree that no one should bother waiting without Express if that's the dispatch interval we're seeing.

Yeah that’s the whole point of the tech rehearsals as frustrating as it may be. Getting in line for this right now leads to alot of risk and disappointment lol.

17 mins to get to the si game rider line

It’s 30 mins to get lockers, lol

Just wow…imagine them telling people on MK sorry you have to wait 30 mins to get the glasses

This is a big oversight on crowded days

Not currently. I got here 40 mins ago and single rider was stupidly full. Seems like word has gotten out about using it to skip the line and now everyone and their mother is using it. Im in the standby line and we're moving pretty quickly, all things considered.

Also, on another note, I talked to a couple of ride ops at the front since they recognized me from when I last marathoned this ride and they said that originally, this queue was only meant to hold 90 minutes of line on a normal operational day but it may be a while until we see that (if we ever do) because of the locker and express situation

Had to leave the park for other commitments but made it back in! Also shoutout to @BriefCasey for letting me know this, but if you have to leave the property and plan to come back later, show the parking attendant your receipt you got earlier today and they’ll wave you back in. First time I had to do that but I came back to go on F&F again! Review is coming I promise!

I’ll see how round 2 goes and if I can even get in the single rider line. The line from French street is moving surprisingly fast but that’s mainly because express, general and single are all gonna merge at the entrance.

Found a solution to the shade problem near Duff Brewery and perhaps the rest of the queue. Looks like they didn’t order enough tarps lol.

Why this wasn’t an actual roof is puzzling.

2026 with F&F: “Dude we need MORE tarps! Why aren’t they adding more!?”
