I'm actually working on a piece about the Disneyland version... It's without a doubt my favorite show, though the current incarnation (in Anaheim) leaves something to be desired.

Taking a page from DOOM's Expedition thread and just wanna say I'm surprised not many on here sing the praises of this show. It truly is a beautiful, emotional and aweing experience.

Most people prefer the Disneyland version… specifically the original version. I prefer this to the new 2.0 version though.

I probably catch this show about once a year or every other year and cry at the end every single time without fail. I don't know what the f--- is wrong with me. :lmao:

I’ve seen it twice at DHS and thought it was meh.

I am aware this is a terrible opinion and will not be taking follow-up questions.

I don't like the DHS one but love the DL one. I think the time investment is my problem (also jsut not as epic as the DL one!)

Best part is the original music. Last I saw it, the finale was in B mode, which meant Maleficent on a raised platform. I'd probably have stronger feelings towards it if this hadn't been the case. Will say that Moana playing in the water is an inspired and cool addition.

Looks like Fantasmic had a little oops during the finale,

According to Firr, the pyro shot from the dragon fell out of its mouth instead of outward, so it landed on the stage and proceeded to burn. So once things cleared on stage, they cranked the fountains to soak the stage. Doesn't seem like anything was damaged nor anybody hurt, though from the sounds of it this is something that's happened before with the pyro/dragon.

That dragon seems to cause more issues than benefits. It already feels like a 50/50 split as to whether or not you'll see it during the show.

I was hoping they would invest into a new dragon before it returned a few years ago.

That’s like a single spark compared to the Disneyland dragon inferno.

Fire extinguisher guy slowly realizing around 1:45-2:00 that his efforts are futile always gets me :lmao:
