Agreed, although I do love the heat. Being able to leave Ohio when it is 20 degrees and step out of the airport into 60-70 degrees is so nice. I went in early May when FL was having a heat wave and it was a little difficult. Wasn't used to the angle of the sun or 95 degrees yet.

We went to Orlando in the winter for the first time last year.

Going from 15 degrees to 70 degrees in the span of 3 hours was wild lol

We’ve done that. It’s so hard to manage packing and transitioning at the airport. Keep your coat in the car and freeze at the airport or take it with you on the plane? Suffer with shorts in the cold so as not to waste time at MCO changing into shorts?

Worth it, tho.

I just re-pack the jeans I wore to the airport and change when I get to MCO. It works well enough. Also if you're in a pinch The Club at MCO has showers.

We always pack or all seasons on our November & December trips. We've experienced some really cold days where we had to wear our leather jackets and gloves too. Just like when the parks are too hot and uncomfortable they can be too cold and uncomfortable. We always drive to Florida so space for luggage is no issue.

Guys not everyone hates the heat.

My boss is from Canada loves it and doesn’t want deal with any sort of winter weather at all.

Also it’s hot all across the country right now so no escaping it. We get it.. Orlando can get really hot in the summer and water is wet.

true -- but when the real feel temp at 11 PM is 97 while being 113 (feels like) in the afternoon is a bit much and now the dust has rolled in and my breathing currently feels like I live in the valley!!

Everyday from June 1st through the second week in October in Central Florida feels like walking through warm Jello. That's a FL summer.

But buckle up, we are in for a bumpy flight with the Super El Dingo heating up in the Pacific.

I agree those temps are not pleasant.

But we have to remember they are not normal and the state has been in literal heat wave for weeks.

It’s usually hot but not this level of craziness.

Not sure how recent this AP pricing is, but it is very interesting, lots of sub $100. Weekends very cheap compared to weekdays. With no multi-night HHN express, that opening weekend is looking tempting as an alternative too, since I am already there and not buying 3 single express days for sure.

Weekends, especially Sundays, remain prime times to visit Epic. Sundays have been great since August 2025, with just a few exceptions.

We took advantage of the $110 AP rate on Sunday June 21st, and even with the discounted ticket impetus the park was still decent lines, except for the always long Ministry and DK Mine train.

We arrived around 8:30 and they opened the front gates around 8:45 AM. I gambled on Mario first since its opening downtime isn't as bad as Ministry. Wise choice. Ministry was offline at park opening. They let us into Nintendo right at 8:55 and we were in the first group that walked onto Mario. The masses ran to DK Mine train. We then did Yoshii, and were off the ride by 9:20....and walked over to DK just for curiosity, and the queue was already overflowing. I had decided before the day that we wouldn't even put that attraction on our agenda. The girls (12 & 13) weren't impressed by Nintendo and didn't like either ride, saying that Mario was too confusing. Next, we walked over to Dragons and Scarlett and I did the Winged coaster, and Alene & Layla sat and rested. The girls had no interest in the other two Dragon rides. They both said the boat water ride looked boring. We then walked over to Star Dust and Scarlett and I rode it. It was already damn hot and there was no shade where the benches were, so I took Alene and Layla into the nearby restaurant where they waited for us. Scarlett loved Stardust, said its almost as good as her fav, Velocicoaster. Then we walked over to Monsters and rode Monsters Unchained. Everyone loved that ride. It was about 10:15 AM and Scarlett and I had already rode 5 rides. No appreciable lines. Dragons first show was 10:30 that day so we went to the show. After the show ,we walked over to Monsters Unchained and rode it again. It wasn't even 11:30 and we did 6 rides and 1 show. Hot as hell, so we took the bus back to Cabana and cooled off in the room and ate at the food court before we took the bus back to Epic. As we got on the bus at apx. 4:00 PM a very brief shower and some lightening. It was over by the time we got back to Epic.

Unfortunately, lightening is Epic's Kryptonite. We got into the park and the app showed only three rides (Ministry. Monsters, Mario) open. All other rides and both shows were closed (we later found out that the Potter show shut down for a number of days for some reason or other). They all stayed closed for three hours. Not a lot of choices, so we rode Monsters three times and I talked the girls into giving Mario a second chance. After this second ride, they still didn't like it and again said its too confusing (Note: both girls play Nintendo games a lot). Finally, Stardust reopened. Scarlett rode it solo twice. We then went to Paris Potter and they used their wands on the window displays. Those were very good, about equal to Diagons, and much better than the Hogsmeade windows. Ministry was still super long. So we walked over to Monsters and did it one more time. After that, we watched the fountain show.

Scarlett liked Epic. She's the coaster person. Layla didn't like the park since there was only one ride, Monsters, that she liked. Bottom line, similar to our two Sundays at Epic in November, Sundays are a great day to visit. We didn't stand in a long line all day. As I've said before, you can have a decent day at Epic if your plans don't necessarily include the often too long Ministry and DK Mine Train.

Take advantage of the AP discounts and visit on a Sunday. Best advice I can give, and I've been saying that for a year now. The park is worth it at that discount price, even though its incomplete in regard to non coaster and indoor attractions. These discounts are a red flag for attendance issues, I would guess.
