I’ve already been on Mario Kart, so I’m not ranking that.

1. Monsters Unchained
2. Battle at the Ministry
3. Mine Cart Madness
4. Le Cirque Arcanus
5. The Untrainable Dragon
6. Yoshi’s Adventure
7. Wing Gliders
8. Curse of the Werewolf
9. Constellation Carousel
----Beyond this point, I have no interest, but for the sake of being a completist:
10. Fyre Drill
11. Dragon Racers Rally
12. Stardust Racers

Monsters Unchained is far and away my most-anticipated. I've dreamed of a large-scale Monsters attraction since I first started getting into those movies back in the early 1990s.

That also means it will be the most personally crushing if it doesn’t deliver!

Why is Stardust Racers below Constellation Carousel and other short kiddie rides lmao

I won't be able to ride it, whereas I at least would be able to ride Fyre Drill and DRR if I had any interest (... but I don't!).

In that sense, maybe I shouldn't have ranked it at all.

I'm honestly shocked by the voting so far. I wonder if it's:
  1. Monsters is the ride we've had the most behind the scenes info released so far and has everybody hyped up for it
  2. So many of the people who come to these forums are HHN nerds (I include myself in that)
  3. A mix of the two

Out of genuine curiosity, what attractions did you think the votes were going to go to instead?

To add to what @Brian G. said, a lot of folks here are very much for the dark rides, which this park has three full-blown ones. Mario Kart has already opened in multiple parks, including one in the US already, so the hype for that ride won't be as big.

That leaves us with Monsters and Battle at the Ministry. Now even with how big in scale BatM looks, it's a dark ride based off an IP which has already gotten multiple dark rides, meanwhile Monsters Unchained is the first Universal Monster dark ride period, something that many of us have wanted for years. It honestly checks out why that ride is dominating the votes. Don't even need behind the scenes info to be hyped for it.

I’m voting for Ministry as my number one. I’m excited for the ride experience, and a harry potter ride that seems a bit more inclusive for all! The fact they are basically giving us the elevator experience we all could picture from the movies?? Exciting!

Monsters looks amazing. But I fear it will mostly feel like Forbidden Journey, with a different theme.

But there are no domed screens with Monster Unchained and there are over 10 animatronics. Does that not make it fundamentally different to FJ?

My final list is:

1. Ministry
2. Monsters
3. DK
4. HWG
5. Stardust (doubt I will ever ride it)
6. MK
7. Werewolf
8. Yoshi
9. Carousel
10. Fyre Drill
11. DRR (doubt I will ever ride it)

The 2 shows rank right below the top 4.

I've thought long and hard about this so here we go:

1) Monsters Unchained: The Frankenstein Experiment (an original, basically non-IP land with a super unique story, great AAs and environmental special effects, a passion project evidently made to a super high quality level, with a fire theme and queue line / pre-show).
2) Battle at the Ministry (I hate Harry Potter yet it's the only ride with a new ride system across the entire park, and all the AAs and queue line look great).
3) The Untrainable Dragon (seemingly the best theatre show ever at a theme park maybe, IDK?).
4) Hiccup's Wing Gliders (the only remaining AA-focussed new ride with seemingly good show scenes).
5) La Cirque Arcanus (an enigma, but a highly-promising one).
6) Mariokart: Bowser's Challenge (I think the AR looks fun, but 2 versions have already opened globally).
7) Curse of the Werewolf (too short and seems to only have 1 real show scene (the barn)).
8) Yoshi's Adventure (adorable but short dark ride).
9) Donkey Kong: Mine Cart Madness (poorly-themed IMO and short yet very fun-looking).
10) Fyre Drill (spash battle where you can't splash other boats and all props are 2D cutouts (boo)).
11) Bowser Jr boss fight (gimmicky but a cool idea and fun with the key unlock minigames leading up to it).
12) Constellation Carrousel (well-dressed-up carrousel, still a carrousel though).
13) Dragons Racers Rally (hopefully seeing Wing Gliders fly by will make it more fun).
14) Stardust Racers (an unthemed trim-braked coaster, I don't care, sure it duels, it's just a coaster though).

I think it’s a close call between Monsters Unchained and Battle at the Ministry.

I’m super excited for Monsters but I’m so curious as to how the latest HP attraction will turn out considering its grandeur.

I’m going next Thursday and people keep asking me which rides I’m looking forward to most— all of them! At the same time I’m not expecting to ride anything at all on my first visit, I just want to see it all and soak up the ambiance of the park. If I get to ride a ride, great. If not, I’ll do it next time…

What about the shows? Seems like a good middle ground while not spoiling the biggest attractions early.

I hope to see them, but it won’t ruin my visit if I don’t

1) Monsters (all the hype with TM previews has only solidified this as my #1)
2) Ministry
3) Hiccup's Wing Gliders
4) Donkey Kong
5) Mario Kart
6) Werewolf
7) Fyre Drill (hopefully they add a bit more oomph to the water guns than it sounds like it has right now. I love water rides lol)
8) Carousel
9) Yoshi's Adventure

Not super interested in Stardust Racers or Dragon Racer's Rally. I'd probably be more likely to try Dragon Racer's since learning you have control over your own ride vehicle thing as far as barrel rolls and things go, so it's not as crazy as I worried it would be.
Stardust-- big rollercoasters aren't really my vibe. HRRR made me see spots and I almost blacked out. Velocicoaster was ok but I was too focused on making sure my neck and head didn't end up hurting to enjoy it much. I work down the street from Carowinds and even when I had a season pass, I rode so few of the coasters there because most of them hurt me or mess with my stomach. Just don't wanna end up feeling like crap at a park I've waited this long for :nervous:

Bonus: The shows also probably rank right around the #3-4 spot for me

1. Monsters Unchained - I've been going through the old Universal Monsters movies and related media (the current line of Skybound comics is great, by the way), and I just love these guys so much. Also - I adore Forbidden Journey but I hate Harry Potter and I've been waiting for a Kuka arm without that property attached.
2. Stardust Racers - I miss Dueling Dragons so much.
3. The Untrainable Dragon - Not on the list, I know, but How to Train Your Dragon is one of the few kid's movies I actually hold very close to my heart and have a lot of nostalgia for. I've seen clips from the Beijing show and it's just beautiful.
4. Hiccup's Wing Gliders - Not usually a family coaster fan, but see above.
5. Battle at the Ministry - My opinion of Harry Potter has curdled significantly since the first time I rode Forbidden Journey. That was enough to leave me pretty lukewarm on Hagrid's, and I imagine it'll do the same here. Still, I looooove Spider-Man at IOA, so I'm excited to see what they do with this on a technical level.
6. Dragon Racer's Rally - I've never been on this type of flat ride before! Not losing my mind over it or anything but I'm pretty pumped.
7. Curse of the Werewolf - Hard-carried by the property. I love the Wolf Man.
8. Fyre Drill - Looks cute.
9. Mine Cart Madness - This was much higher on the list before the tepid reviews out of Japan :(
10. Yoshi's Adventure - This could rise or fall by, like, three spaces depending on the wait. I love a PeopleMover, but not enough to stand in line for more than 25 minutes.
11. Mario Kart - Again, if this wasn't guaranteed to be a two hour wait for what I've heard is a pretty divisive ride, I'd probably be more excited.
12. Le Cirque Arcanus - Maybe???
13. Constellation Carousel - I'll just say I'm not rope-dropping it.
