my guess is 2030-2031 would be the target date for a SNW expansion. Hopefully Zelda.

I'm personally hoping that expansion timeframe goes to USF instead with Pokemon replacing Simpsons. 2030 being the 5th anniversary for EU just makes sense for its first major expansion.

I know it's a complete pipedream, but I think Epic could really benefit from having a completely indoor land expansion. We know it's possible as the Middle East has some pretty nice all indoor parks and the new Disneyland there is confirmed to be all indoors. Honestly, Wizarding France would have been the prime land for this. Give it an eternal night sky and really bring the land to life with beautiful ambient lighting. I've also always thought a dark cyberpunkish city with neon lighting and use of holographic technology would be great visually, and more importantly weatherproof and cool, to spend time in during the hot Florida days. If only there was a popular enough Cyberpunk franchise that would warrant that kind of price tag, but alas

You don't necessarily need to create a fully indoor land, something at the scale/size of Ministry of Magic's atrium is perfectly fine. Just a nice indoor cool spot with seating and cool things to look at while taking a rest from the heat or inclement weather.

You don't necessarily need to create a fully indoor land, something at the scale/size of Ministry of Magic's atrium is perfectly fine. Just a nice indoor cool spot with seating and cool things to look at while taking a rest from the heat or inclement weather.

I mean, smaller spaces work, but the ones the already have get massively crowded the second rain starts. Knockturn Alley, for instance, is a madhouse. A larger all indoor area would be a massive hit. It's also kinda a moot point as it will never happen, but one can dream.

I think all parks experience this to some degree or another. Epic is just in it's infancy stage so the problem is magnified. I remember during a downpour a year ago standing under a palm tree outside of Kong. Some people walked by, looked at me, laughed, and just said might as well give up and get wet as I was already soaked.

With those large lockers at most attractions, Epic makes it super easy to bring what you need with you. I won't do a day at the parks again without a backpack with umbrella, refillable water bottle, portable fan, change of shirt/socks, light pair of flip flops and sunscreen. A little planning ahead like this can make a huge difference in the enjoyability of your day.

It's too so soon for EU to get an expansion done in one of the existing lands let alone a new portal. If this is something related for Wicked, it's likely going to IOA maybe for a fast tracked 2028 addition to the resort. I dont think you would have to too heavily re theme parts of LC to make it something from Emerald city.

I also want to bring up this portion, from 5:40 in the video. Scott Tatham, Executive Creative Director for Epic Universe, had this to say on the use of Link, and the Zelda IP, in the Nintendo Super Star Store.

"I mean, that's a beloved character, and the world, and this is called Super Nintendo World, so it includes all things Nintendo. So that's a character we have included. I wouldn't read too much into that. So if people want to speculate, that's up to them. But I hope they focus on what we have been focused on, which is the experiences that are here, and there's plenty to do. We now have a week's worth of fun and entertainment with four theme parks and 11 resort hotels, so I think that there's plenty to focus on without worrying about what comes next."

IMO my theory on the matter is Wicked has been fast tracked for IOA. LC wouldn't be too hard to retheme into something from Wicked and I bet the Poseidon's Fury showbuildng could be repurposed for a dark ride.

Here's my timeline for the next few years at UOR:
2027- F&F coaster
2028- Wicked replacement for LC
2029- Pokemon replaces Simpsons
2030- Zelda expansion for SNW. Perfect for EU's five year anniversary

I just can’t picture that they’ll want Epic to struggle along, in the sense of the capacity issues and weather issues, for half a decade. I just think they’ll be fast tracking there at the expense of other projects, especially for IOA. Studios obviously needs help but the coaster might be enough for the foreseeable.
