Iger appeared on CNBC at 4:00 He said that Parks and Resorts had a robust performance for the quarter...........Disney earnings beat the street estimates by a healthy margin.....Disney theme parks & resorts revenues increased 13% to $5.2 billion. Disney stated that higher operating income at their domestic parks was driven by guest spending growth and an increase in attendance. Growth at Disneyland Paris reflected higher attendance and higher ticket prices.......There was no mention of Hong Kong or Shanghai, and that would lead me to guess that neither park had revenue increases. In previous quarters they were quoting Shanghai numbers big time. And Hong Kong has been losing attendance & revenue just about ever quarter previously.....All in all, these are pretty strong theme park results. Hopefully that will translate into a continuation of the expansion mode that Disney seems to have entered.
