CoCo Ride Revamp themed to Day of the Dead and Music from Film? - YES Please.
Giant Guitar on top of the Temple? - NO Thanks.

A Day of the Dead Small World would be SO awesome if Disney did it justice, and spent the budget needed.

Watch the references to Coco is just cause of the weird puppet that comes out while the mariachi band plays sometimes.

Rode GFT with my nieces the other day and they LOVED Coco, and didn't get much out of the existing GFT. Personally, I love GFT, especially since they added the MMR animatronic at the end, but there is something to be said about keeping things relevant for the new generations. If they're going to fill EPCOT with IPs, at least Coco is a good one and would actually fit the pavilion.

BTW- the nieces new all about the stuff on display in the lobby of the Mexico Pavilion and that's how they told me all about Coco and how much they loved it.

I’ve have always been a fan of Coco being an overlay for GFT but I’m not getting my hopes up yet as it always seems to be placed on the back burner.

So DCA gets a COCO attraction before Epcot??? All we needed was a re-skin. I simply don’t understand Disney and their decisions…..

TDO is concerned about capacity. Not about the ride DCA is getting but about implementing Coco in Mexico.

I mean I get that. That pavillion is always extremely busy and the line for the ride is often quite long as it is.

I don't think they can ever put a popular IP in that space because the line is not long enough to handle it. On a busy day the line makes it impossible to move in that back area I couldn't imagine if an IP was put in there.

Yep, Coco will never happen because there would be no space for the queue without a major expansion of the showbuilding or replacing the entire interior with queue, which will never happen because the restaurant and tequila bar make $$$$$.

I feel like the beautiful pavilion that we currently have would have to be completely gutted and restructured to fit anything more popular than Fiesta Tour. I'd honestly rather keep the quaint little Old Mill that we've got as is.

I love the interior of the Mexico pavilion, and I like Gran Fiesta Tour as-is.

So California Adventure can keep the COCO ride as a unique offering (which I will be excited to visit and see once it's open).

If Disney ever wants a Coco ride, I'm sure DHS could use another ride. They would just need to find the room for it. I really enjoy Gran Fiesta Tour a great deal and it fits inside the pavilion perfectly.

This is literally a situation where Disney can’t make a ride that is “too good”.

I know this thread has been dormant for a while but I really do wish EPCOT would figure out a way to put a Coco overlay on Gran Fiesta Tour. It seems like such a no-brainer, they already have the themed decor for Coco when you enter the building, and especially if EPCOT is going the direction of re-theming or creating World Showcase rides to Pixar (Norway - Frozen, France - Ratatouille), it just makes sense. I remember talking to someone who works for the parks and they essentially said what I speculated - the queue wouldn't be able to handle the traffic if it got rethemed to Coco (increased interest/popularity obviously bigger line.) Idk. Anyone think there's any chance it could happen? Just feels like such a missed opportunity to not find a way to make it work.

I don't know what the backstage of this pavilion looks like, so maybe this is completely unviable; but if it were to ever be rethemed, my hope would be for a completely new section to the left of the Temple pavilion to hold the queue line and a newly built loading / dispatch area. Use the current queue and entrance as the exit into the existing pavilion, and so that way it's all purely expansion.

Otherwise, keep Fiesta Tour fresh and clean and I don't have an issue at all. I love the connection Donald has with Latin America, and I think it's really fun that he has his own ride. (Donald got a ride + PhilarMagic before Mickey got Railway! I think that's fun).

Space is kind of tight there— not impossible to expand the building, just difficult and costly…

Coco 2 is happening so Disney should definitely retheme it. It’s a no brainer
