I mean cool and better then nothing

But why is Universal so unwilling to give us themed restaurants? We don't have one fully themed Restaurant at USH and a Monsters themed bar would have been so unique

The fact they're leaning with California based food options headlining that seem catered to suit the needs of a resort property is fantastic and great.

I wonder if this location will be open considerably later compared to the Malibu location, which closes at 8. Would be great to see this align with Mr. BBQ, Slice House, and Raising Canes.

(Also, here's the main menu for those interested):

I mean we have options with Toothsome, Bubba Gump, and Antojitos. If they can get Howl at The Moon back open by HHN (especially as it sounds like that's mostly entact and would likely just need to get upgrades), that could be your avenue for seasonal themed bar experiences.

I'm talking more based on IPs....Bubba Gump's is the closest

Anyway, its just not in the cards but insane both Disney and Universal have all these huge IPs...then decide not to make restaurants based on them when they have room.
For me that's what would make Citywalk more then just a mall, unique one of the kind restaurants you can only find at Citywalk

Never heard of them before, but I'm glad it's a local, independent business. I'd much rather have that than more Universally owned locations. Makes Citywalk a more unique and inviting place for both locals and tourists.

Like with Mr. BBQ, Malibu Brewing Company will be a California institution, with this being the third official location for the dining establishment.

Really liking the new direction of City-Walk choosing more California based restaurants. It makes it more feel like a cultural hub in Hollywood than just a generic shopping mall.

Honest question are most of you still eating at Citywalk?

Since Covid I’ve just been going out to eat wayyyyy less the prices at these restaurants (and most outside Citywalk)

for example Antojitos Cocina Mexicana doesn’t even give you chips any more for free and the prices are more then most places outside the park that would offer free chips plus lower prices.

So wanted to hear if people are eating there still

Don’t know if you heard but Raising Cane’s opened up on CityWalk and it’s only $1 more than the normal locations.

I’m really only at the park once a year and I usually grab food and drink at an undisclosed location for Horror Nights. Otherwise, no, but that’s not really much different than Downtown Disney and I’m there every other week.

I was going to get Taco Bell the one day, but when I noticed the insane price difference on the app, I held off since the one near my house was way cheaper. CityFoods has decent variety, but too much $$$

Raising Canes is overrated. They're opening another one on Hollywood Blvd between Chinese Theatre & Madame Tussauds. They're becoming a plague of existence.

The dining appeal at Citywalk is non-existent. The ONLY place I would be willing to spend money at is Margaritaville.

Although I do appreciate Uncle Sharkii's having Dolewhip & Boba.

KFC - Good
Pizza Hut - Good
Habit Burger - Overpriced (technically good but it’s like $25 for a tiny burger)
Sharkii’s - Good (for boba and dole whips, at least)
Wasabi Sushi - A Crime Against Japanese Food
Starbucks - Idk Dawg It’s A Starbucks
Canes - Great
Wetzels - Great But Why Is It Hidden
Cinnabon - Kinda Sucks TBH

Taco Bell, Toothsome, Slicehouse, NBC Grill, Acai- Never Tried
