Celestial Park - General Discussion Thread

Now imagine they had done that and the gondolas were shaped like captain cacaos airship….that would have been amazing……

A step further would be to take a page from the Hogwarts Express and have some in-character audio talking about Celestial Park and bring out some of the lore. There’s obviously been work done in that area and early during previews the live performances alluded to it to help fill in the story of the world. Hopefully we’ll see elements like that come back in the future.

I don’t think it a bad idea if the carousel had a small audio intro (not every song but every other or so) doing the same.

Oh also, I want to inform that the moving fountain figure parts in next to the carousel have been down for like 3 months but recently reactivated!

Lots of these temporary construction walls around Celestial Park— it appears they’re repairing the concrete walkways.

Anyone been recently and noticed any issues with Stardust’s on board audio? I rode three times today - yellow and green a few minutes apart around 1-2pm, and green again about 8pm. My ride on yellow and my second ride on green had no audio :l. Not sure if I got really unlucky or what. It’s hard to hear the music once the ride gets going, but that triumphant orchestra when leaving station pumps me up so much.

I rode twice Friday. Morning one speaker was out and at night it was fully working.

The audio heard by the female’s voice in the station of SR has been replaced by a male, and it goes a little further with additional precautions added since the incident. The audio is harder to hear than the previous one and the delivery of some of the lines falls flat, particularly the line about lassoing the comets to race them. No idea if they’ll re-record the lines with the original voice.

I liked the holiday decorations around the park. Some of the more custom garlands and ornaments were neat to see. One of them at the entrance caught my eye by being very on-theme.

The music by the entrance with the holiday jingles lightly mixed in sounds lovely. It retains the ambient other-worldly feel the normal soundtrack contains while acknowledging the season. Very well done!

The live band near the fountain is another thing. Being in Celestial Park and hearing normal pop songs does take you out of the atmosphere of the park a bit. It was interesting to hear American Boy being played but at least the band changed it up by singing "Celestial boy" instead. Immersion preserved.

Yes, can confirm it’s an issue.

Some of the lighting isn’t working properly on a few of them as well. There’s one train where the lights on the stars on the front have malfunctioned and are multi-colored as a result and personally I kinda liked that one. Unintentional Nintendo themed.

Our favorite Christmas decorations in Celestial were the ones at Oak and Star. All the little woodland critters scattered through the garland were great.

Universal has done an excellent job with the garland on the North Campus also. Small themed additions to the garland throughout
the parks and CityWalk are impressive. One example: Music notes and the BB car in the garland at the Blues Brothers show.

My two favorites are the painting supplies in the face painting garland and the sunglasses on the sunglasses kiosk.

Have there been an articles or photo reports showing all the decorations? I feel like this is the biggest thing that annoys me about lack of AP’s as an outsider far away, barely any updates since this thing opened

I ... actually have no clue if I've ever experienced Stardust with audio. I can only recall riding in silence, and then a sudden boost of sound from the Double-launch tunnel.
