Weird time for a refurb........ It was running Friday.
The Elephant area was open last Monday and is a nice way to get closer to them, it was shut when we went by on Friday.

^ Yeah it looked to be a mechanical issue on the main lift and from my understanding the elephant interaction could be used for upcoming new tours but I have no idea if what I was told is true.

BUSCH GARDENS Cheetahs ENJOY “Catsparilla”

Over the weekend, Busch Gardens® Tampa’s cheetahs took part in one of the Tampa Bay area’s oldest traditions, Gasparilla, with a cheetah twist. A few of the park’s cheetahs celebrated the first ever “Catsparilla,” complete with a pirate ship. Made of a plastic tub, cardboard boxes, a bamboo mast, hay and other enrichment items, the Catsparilla pirate ship included spices to entice the cheetahs to “board the ship,” and even paper Mache animals for the cheetahs to pounce on.
