When you say their "new slides", you mean the two that they've added in 20+ years of these parks being open (almost 30 for Typhoon), right?

If Disney goes solely to WhiteWater, and that if that's who they go for; and if it's an aqua coaster..couldn't they just go with the Aqua Blaster model?

It's just a thought, and that the one thing I honestly hope that they do for Blizzard; is a tower of multiple slides, and not just one.

Blizzard definitely needs more than one slide for capacity, but idk.

From what I can tell right now, this was all a farce. I sort of expect them to add to BB this offseason based on need and new competition now with Volcano Bay open (common sense, really). However, I won't believe anything until I see a permit.

Disney's been mostly getting their new slides from Whitewater West so they'd need to work with ProSlide.

Miss Adventure Falls is a new prototype from Proslide called a PowerRiver. Before that, Proslide also did the slide and small RideHouse tipping bucket play area at the Saratoga Springs resort that opened in 2011.

Crush n Gusher is not from WhiteWater, but was one of the last NBGS project. New Braunsfel General Store (NBGS) was the manufacturing division of Schlitterbahn in Texas and they sold in 2006 the rights to the MasterBlaster and Flowrider to WhiteWater. WhiteWater did do the Aqua Duck and Aqua Dunk slides on the cruise ships.

Drove by the park yesterday...they have a crane on site and they've really ripped into the side of the hill there...and I saw a number of slide pieces on the ground...not sure if they were new or old.

I imagine you are talking about the slides that haven't been operational for safety reasons all year long. BB is down for it's annual 3-month refurb so it's finally getting some love.

The park is in real rough shape though. Last I heard, the mountain structure at the park has a lot of structural damage and it's hard to fix due to where the damage is.

Maybe they're using this as an opportunity to gain access to the mountain. Those slides were my personal favorites in the park - let's hope that they replace them with some that are equally as aggressive.

Bio has all the right photos as usual.

I never realised they took the slides apart during the closed periods. Looks to be pretty big work going on up the back of the mountain.

I don’t believe that what you are seeing is common year to year maintenance. This appears to be a total rebuild of an existing attraction, much like that which was done to hulk.

I believe they are replacing the leaking water mains that have caused the park to shut down several times in the last year. No more bandaids, they are ripping the scab off and doing major surgery.

Runoff Rapids (slide in question above) reopened when the park came back from it's annual refurbishment. The slide was rebuilt brand new over the refurbishment period.
