It's about time, although it is sad to see it go. Better things on the horizon for USJ...

If BD is also going, it makes me confident to bet on this plot, being the area of DAJ (Diagon Alley Japan).

That's sad. I was hoping to make it out there to experience them again before closing.

Why couldn't they have waited one more year? Giving us a month and a half notice sucks.

They should be focusing on getting Nintendoland opened before considering Diagon.

I didn't know where to post this.
Universal Studios Japan to close Back to the Future ride, sell off DeLorean and props | RocketNews24

I don't know how reliable this is though.

I have the special edition of Back to the Future on disk, so it comes with all the queue and ride video.
I could always just put it on, get in a cardboard box, and move with it.
I now have my own personal BTTF ride.

I'll just pop in my 30th anniversary blu-ray if I feel the need to go back to the future again.

While i'm sad to see it go; from what it seems, BTTF was really dated in its technology, seeming to be extremely rough from previous existing versions. While I'm sad to see it go; I think its for the best so we can get much more technically advanced attractions for USJ.

I really enjoyed it when I rode it in November...but the screen quality was definitely lacking, and let's face it, it's 2016...AFTER the "future"...time for it to be replaced.

Here's hoping we can get a better, modern BTTF ride some day.

As much as I like this idea. We are in the real future now. But here's to the idea!
