Ryan Murphy has announced an all new original anthology series, aimed to be in a similar format as Creepshow called American Horror Stories.





Unlike American Horror Story, which is going forward with it's 10th season, this will be a smaller formatted version with short stories; featuring members from the series, including fan favorites.

This is probably a much better format for the series considering AHS hasn't been able to hold my attention for a full season since Coven (and even that had some jump the shark moments).

1984 was one of their best seasons!

I'm a little skeptical that they'll be able to satisfying self contained stories in a single episode, but at least we won't risk the bloat and messiness the main show tends to experience near the end of its seasons. Besides, it's another horror anthology series and aside from Creepshow those aren't too common these days, so I'm a bit more interested in this over whatever season 10 ends up looking like.
