Honestly, I wonder if the F&F location worked a lot better than they thought it would, and they plan to keep using it moving forward. Or they have plans for bigger stuff so they need another SS!

I’d approach this as less of “what would people HATE” and more “what would people almost instantly doubt”, but not a bad line of thinking

Considering Villain-Con isn't scheduled to officially open until Summer, I don't see them using the flex space this year. I can imagine next year is totally fair game, though.

They already confirmed (or in this case, deconfirmed) what they were hinting at earlier.

*Demon Slayer (Was the IP I and others were hinting at but lost confidence in. I'm almost certain it was discussed extensively but ended up not happening. Personal speculation is that it's being replaced by an original but I might be wrong)

This year feels.. weird. Feels like this event could either be stacked with great IP or could be a bit of a whimper.

The event is never made or broken based on the quality of the IPs. Bad IPs can make great houses (Dead Silence) and vice versa ( Halloween 2022). In any case, Ive always felt it was originals where the event shines, since those are the concepts designed first and foremost to make great houses, not to represent a franchise from another medium.

In any case, Ive always felt it was originals where the event shines, since those are the concepts designed first and foremost to make great houses, not to represent a franchise from another medium. I didn't say it did lol, I much prefer originals to IPs.

FWIW, so far, Hallowed Out Horror is 3/3 from their spec map. Even had the correct monsters on it.

If what we have is right. Clues for spec. And actually Universal’s announcements r two very different things.

I really like the F&F location. It reminds me of a local haunt in a weird way. Hoping the house that goes there is better than last year's, though...

I wonder if they'll save that location for whenever they decide to do split houses. It worked quite well for that.

Not really. At the time, a lot of what I was hearing were things that had appeared at HHN previously. Klowns was never among them.

Rumors (Liz) and I are good friends who go back years. Rarely take our engagement online as indicative of anything beyond playful banter.

Yes... there's a lot of potential with a Dawn Fm house, but i won't be sad if he doesn't come back this year, because I at least have Last of Us to look forward to. Then again we are only in February, so there's still a chance
