We did NY. Felt like all my friends were at Springfield. We went to Halloween and they released probably around 515? I don’t think we ended up getting in until closer to 540 due to our location in line and all the express people. When we got out, we chose to go to Coven which may have been a mistake. That took about 20 minutes, put us at 603. Rushed over to Pier/Chup posted at I think 30/45? We hopped into Pier since there were people in A I wanted to see. That line crawled so we missed that cast and the Chup line cleared out. When we got out we did Chup, but that was at about 7pm. At that point I was starving so we took a break and ate…had to leave early so just casual houses after that.

What was the other house option in NY? Is Pier a part of it by any chance?

Its coven.
Maybe worth it to just chill during S&S and just pre-wait for Pier if you aren't near the front of the Halloween line for S&S.

Do we have confirmation on what stay and scream releases to what houses for early access? Specifically wondering about the Halloween area- we are planning to S&S Halloween but would like to know what else is open with it, as well as any tips on timing of initial open for Halloween.

From what I've seen, regarding which houses open for S&S. NY/Finn's goes to Halloween and Spirits of the Coven. And Springfield/Central Park goes to The Weeknd and Legends Collide. (Don't have tips due to lack of info on that, but it sounds like Halloween is not-surprisingly a popular property, so get there early.)

They really bungled the stay and scream line situation for Halloween today. They had 2 sperate lines in two separate locations and loaded on and the forgot to load the second one for a while. They do seem to be opening at least Halloween way earlier than they would open stay and scream houses in the past though. Seemed like people started coming out around 5:20 though.

The parade building houses are Monsters and Weeknd, which both spit you out by ET.

Has anybody done the 6 house Unmasking the Horror? The prices seem sky high, and availability super low...and wondering how worth it it is this year.

I LOVE taking pictures of the houses, so nothing is worse than them saying you can only take pics in 3 rooms (in an original no less).

If they let you take pics in most rooms, I'll bite the bullet and buy a ticket....if it's the nonsense where you get the facade, one room, and then part of another room where the tour guide will take a picture of you and that is then I'm gonna pass this year.

Now I know it's a little early as the first weekend isn't technically over yet, but I was curious what the verdict is for people who've been, Halloween s&s or Weeknd s&s?
Seems like both get busy right away and stay busy, so I'm curious if anyone's got any input as to which gives you a bigger advantage to getting the most done so far.

While I don't have a firm confirmation, I would assume so since the "Scream Early" ticket is used at the front gate between 3-5pm. Meanwhile you only need your HHN ticket to get into one of the S&S locations. Therefore, you could use your Scream Early without needing a HHN ticket.

We did it today and other than lunch break being stressful, the photos seemed pretty plentiful compared to some years. Legends was a little limited and Blumhouse was as expected but everything else was pretty good.

We hit some fairly long express lines in the middle of the event hours. 30-40 minute waits, which was only slightly shorter than the posted wait times.

Honestly I'm really curious to see if or how Universal un-screws Express operations in the next weeks
when youre advertising a 100+ dollar addon as cutting the lines to half or less, i have no doubt they've had a flood of complaints from this weekend alone from it not living up to that for some houses.

But the wait times have only occasionally exceeded 60 minutes apiece this weekend, so there’s no excuse for a 30-40 express queue. That’s just bad merge management.

Yeaaaaah, i have express and stay and scream for 2 of my nights next week, but this weekend alone has made me pretty nervous about getting everything done consistently. Which honestly I feel like if I'm still somehow nervous about getting things done with both of those add ons, universal's definitely doing something wrong lol

And I can just hear the excuse. They dont guarantee a shorter wait. They market and sell a shorter wait, but no guarantee.
