Even if it's 5 pm September 3, and there's been zero confirmation--which we know won't happen--is anyone reading this board really going to change their plans? Multinight ticket pricing would be nice to let people budget, but otherwise, if you're going, I'm sure you're going whether they announce Halloween Kills or Colder, Blinder Terror or an empty hallway.

But within minutes of the inevitable announcement, someone will ask, "so what's coming in 2022???".

It's absolutely fascinating to me that a side effect of the 'instant information' age is that so many people just NEED to know something as soon as it is birthed into the universe. Designers of the event and some people know what is currently being developed and brought to life for the event and it just drives some people batty that they aren't privvy to that information like now.

Equating knowledge of behind-the-scenes facts with being a "super-fan" isn't really new. I remember Bantha Tracts in the 80s with all the Star Wars rumors and backstory. But no question it exploded with the internet and Aint It Cool News, etc., to a whole new level. For too many, it eclipses enjoyment of the event. This thread is bumping up on 250 pages. The last few events topped out at 8 pages of reviews/photos--you know, talk about the actual event itself. The obsession over knowing every detail before the general public gets tiring. It doesn't make you a better HHN fan than the 19 year-old transplant going for the first time who has no idea what he's getting into.

Am I the only soul who watched the Exorcist tv series and wound up legitimately enjoying both seasons? Not really translatable to HHN from what I remember, but still a solid show for a prime time cable tv program.

If things are chaotic for the remaining plans, it might simply be last-minute contract negotiations/decisions for multiple IPs whose holders want them for this year and this year primarily? Or the contrary, for any year but this year.

In any event, it’s nice to have an element of secrecy and the unknown left on the table. Makes for a great spectacle seeing everyone hype up each new passing rumor if it floats their boat. With the well running thin, I’m actually more excited about how deep from the creative team’s personal wishlists Uni is willing to pull from if they want to continue featuring IPs.

I’m a huge fan of the show, think it would work extremely well as a house. It does an exceptional job of taking what we know from the original Exorcist and expanding the world in unexpected, fun ways. It’s one of those “dark horse” IPs I’d be extremely interested in (along with things like Penny Dreadful, True Blood, Channel Zero, etc.)

Channel zero has sooooo much house potential. There was even a season that was based around a haunt attraction- even though the haunt itself was only in one episode I think.

Now that HoHH has been announced, I think it's safe to say that'll be one of the bigger IP's this year, so it'll be interesting to see what the wait times are. Conversely, is the Stay and Scream holding area in Springfield gonna' end up a tad busier in part of it? I say in part since both parade warehouses have some of the bigger IP's with HoHH and Beetlejuice, and on the original side of things there's a good amount of excitement for both Sprung tents and the MIB tent.

While this is likely going to be a much more local catering HHN than any since 21, the pent up demand will make the wait times as crazy as ever I'm sure.

I wonder how many people will still S&S at Finnegan’s just because that’s what they are used to doing? Springfield will definitely get more than usual, but I’m very curious to see how much more. The whole crowd patterns should be unusual this year because the sound stages area could be the least crowded area.
