That’s the question.

If it’s JW, how does that work with the rest of the land being JP?

I really don't think the average guest is going to scrutinize it that carefully. And I would expect that "Jurassic World" is not going to be part of the name of the attraction.

So at worst, I think some guests may notice a stylistic/aesthetic departure in the areas immediately around it, but not in a way that would fundamentally break anybody's feeling of immersion.

Technically, the JW aesthetic could fit into the cannon of IOA as Isla Aventura is "another go" at JP which takes place in the universe of IOA.

Minus a certain T-rex that keeps escaping, and a small mishap in 2002, all has been well with the IOA version.

Therefore, it would be perfectly acceptable for the JW aesthetic and Blue to appear in IOA, as Isla Nublar and the other other island was destroyed.

The story could go that they relocated the raptors from Isla Lessinteresting from the JW films.

People very much do notice aesthetic inconsistencies and therefore would pick up on things that were labeled Jurrassic World....But an absorbtion of the two aesthetics would work in the IOA cannon...but also from a general presentation standpoint. Ingen is a small part of both iterations so I think the choice is smart.

There are several tenets of "Jurassic" aesthetic that cross over the entire franchise. As long as there's unfinished concrete and electric fences, people will get the gist.

And since JW3 is leaning towards being more JP6 than anything, I don't think it's something that needs to be over-thought.

Aesthetics don’t really matter. You’d expect the aesthetics to grow with the times. It's not like anybody is complaining about flat screens in the River Adventure queue when they should be CRTs to keep it period correct.

The real brass tax is going to be if they use the Jurassic Park or Jurassic World branding.

Well aesthetics are a part of branding...

I'm not sure time period matters here since, in theory, the IOA version of JP takes place in current times.

There's nothing that really screams a certain time period...minus the ladies shoulder pads in the JPRA queue video.

Either way Blue very much works in IOA IMO...as does the story of Ingen

That's hilarious about the shoulder pads.

That's kind of my point. The only thing that dates the original is the technology. Out of interest, I decided to see how the Jurassic Park logo would look with the Jurassic World branding and it looks kind of wrong.

Absolutely, I think the two can work side by side...not in logo form of course

But in IOA cannon it can work

Absolutely.

The original Jurassic Park was a disaster and they had to rebrand whereas, this Jurassic Park has been operating for over 20 years with no major problems except from the Parasaurolophus in the River Adventure knocking the boat off course multiple times a day.

Wonder if we'll see any new double-spine track today. Maybe the dive loop?

Pretty safe to say this week you'll see an explosion of progress. More supports and some track is assured. I myself am looking forward to seeing what is going on in the "spaghetti bowl" area of the track. Maybe Dan or Amusement Insider will get some drone footage...or maybe bioreconstruct? Fingers crossed!

Has anybody figured out the helix portion? Footers might give a good indication as to where the high and low points are but it’s such an interesting part of the ride that I feel like is getting glossed over. Also, based on Intamin supporting history, I’m going to bet that if that support is 150’ tall like Dan says, (looks more like 125-130’ to me) than you can add another 50 ft to the height to get to the crest of the top hat. Stealth at Thorpe Park, Pantheon at Busch Williamsburg, and Taiga at Linnanmäki are good benchmarks to reference. If Dans correct it’ll be like 199’ tall lol.

My guess is that it's around110-150 currently and should end up around 170-180. I don't think you will take a quick turn up into the top hat like other Intamin coasters but a more gradual one like the newer style the Vekomas. I hope I'm wrong and comment is right about 199!

That enclosed launch and rush up the top hat will be spectacular at night. Wonder if the tunnel will be given a lighting package or will it purposely be kept dark.

I would expect maybe overhanging lights as they can be spaced out in a specific way to give the illusion of more speed.

Question..Does that one big support for the top hat hold it all or will there be another just like it for the 2nd half of the top hat?

There's a second set of footers for the other half, but they aren't very evident from the angle the drone shots are getting.

I just can’t take that scale in. I imagine this will be visible from the I4 when heading Patel to I Drive if the volcano doesn’t block it out.

I also wonder how many people when IOA open at heading straight to lagoon to see how this looks from the entrance.
