I haven't seen any drone footage of pandora so I don't know. And I don't think anyone has seen the forest yet so idk if they're %100. Wish the best to both. P.s. may 25th-30 = I-4 mess

Yep wish the best to both of them too. Hopefully volcano bay will be close to 100% like pandora is now

It makes me a little sad seeing avatar basically open and getting pretty good reviews while Volcano Bay seems like it's kind of sputtering to the finish line...

Even Pandora had some sputters getting where it is now. Universal pushes deadlines a wee bit further than I would prefer, but at least when they get there, they will keep tweaking to make things better and better. Ever thus.

Seems like the flagship attraction won't even be ready on time.

The drop slides don't use concrete pieces normally used in drainage. Also it's not the flagship attraction.

So has there been any "chatter" online whether or not all the attractions will be open on day 1? It really doesn't look like it based on the photos. I have to say, if the opening day/weekend isn't a complete train wreck, I'll be really impressed that UOR pulled it off. Even Fallon had some soft time to prepare for the new line system. They are going to be testing a completely new line technology for the entire park on day 1. Yeah....good luck with that.

They've done extensive testing of TapuTapu. Don't worry about that aspect.

Yeah, this park has about 5 flagship attractions if one thinks about it. 3 tall drop slides and the water coaster. This big swoosh was supposed to be something special and a kind of first... alas it has a few fender dents at this point.

Well that's reassuring, but testing and real life are two different things. I wish them the best, but they are in for one hell of a weekend.

VB looks just about ready to go anxious to here about the food and the nighttime feel of the park

Which causes me to wonder, how did they get the physics so wrong for the swoosh. Isn't there software that calculates such stuff or is the variable water added element a bit too much to calculate?

Hasn't proslide said this is a first of its kind feature set up? That could be part of the issue.

It sounds similar to the problems Royal Caribbean had with its Boomerang slide when it was installed.

Yes, it is a first. Now we might know why they kept adding water nozzles down the side... they were attempting to push the rafts away from the edge. Sound good?
