Nah, Beauty and the Beast looks like a better ride. Frozen already opened the floodgates for fairy tales.

Welcome to Ipcot.

Inside Out makes more sense than either Guardians or TRON for an Epcot overlay. IO in the old WoL pavilion and updates for Energy/M:S would do wonders to enhance that side of Future World.

Plus, since Ellen is still well-liked/popular, why not just bring her in to film an updated ride film, add cushioned seats to the RVs (those hard benches make it hard to last 37 minutes ) and overhaul the dinosaur sequence? It would end up being far cheaper than the $200-300 million for two GotG attractions and allow Imagination, M:S, SSE and Seas to get enhancements, too. You could even bring back Bill Nye due to 90s nostalgia.

Of course, TDO doesn't make logical decisions for Epcot... but if Inside Out didn't get a greenlit attraction for Epcot (despite its edutainment potential), I just don't see how GotG or TRON would work.

Honestly anything that keeps Energy in my mind is taking the cheap way out. That ride is old and needs to go. Most people do not go on it because either it is too long or too boring. It just needs to go. I feel like WoL pavilion and Energy can come down and something really good can go there. At this point I don't care what, as long as it is GOOD.

Universe of Energy is my nap ride when I'm at the park. Instead of going out to the car or back to my hotel, I just go in there and take a 37 minute power nap and then head to the next thing.

Yep, do the same. Although I like the diorama, and wake up for that for a couple of minutes.

Good grief. It's been days since a new rumor came out. We'll have to start making up our own rumors if Disney doesn't get back on the ball. Come on Disney, it is cheaper to entertain us with rumors than building new rides and rebuilding EPCOT.

May as well. That's what some of the other theme park sites do to increase clicks & ad dollars. ;)

I knew that when the rumor came from @Marni1971. And Spirit. And Lee.

Edit: Not really directed at you @Galaxy Defender. Just generally speaking.
I spent 10 years with Military Intelligence. And yes, we all knew it was a contradiction in terms.

HUMINT (human intel) gave a direction to look in for facts. Balloons, survey markers, customer surveys, etc are all good ways to find strength to a rumor in theme parks. It is just my nature to look for corroboration. No offense intended to anyone that spoke about what they have heard.

It was a hard rumour to believe, but they aren't the type to spread completely fabricated ideas.

I don't blame anyone for thinking differently, the Marvel contract is always such a loaded topic. Skepticism was well warranted.
Well-warranted, but I think people also get it in their head that anything Marvel is an absolute no-go, when in reality, the line is really, really blurred on GOTG (I've read the article OU did and still don't see anything restricting Disney). A non-Marvel Branded land (meaning not using the word, font or logo of "MARVEL") is very possible imo with GOTG/Big Hero 6.

Even if there is a restriction, there's also the possibility of contract re-negotiation to benefit both sides, which most don't consider. Just saying.

Something is happening. There's no other credible rumors for the site currently at all, but that could easily change. We'll see what happens.

The balloon test was potentially because there's supposedly an addition/add-on to the building as a part of this project.
