Yeah, I knew my opinion would not be a popular or universal one, but I just don't get the allure of that attraction. :shrug:My GF & I are just completely bored by it. We even tried a night ride this time around since I read it was better in the dark. But it was just as blah. I guess nostalgia is a powerful draw.

I complete agree with you. I've ridden both DL and MK and the CMs are just not funny. The delivery of the 'jokes' and the slamming around of the wheel sometimes makes it feel like they don't wanna be there. No one laughs at the jokes and people just look at each other bemused by the experience.

We don't bother riding it anymore.

Much of my disagreement comes from the assertion that screens need to be added.

If you guys don't enjoy the ride as is, what are a few screens going to do to enhance the experience?

I'm not after screens.

I just think the attraction is too dated and isn't worth riding.

P.S, do you not sleep?!

about Jurassic Park not being able to be done with screens (The example I made before)

I was thinking today, if they were able to make something as big as transformers into screen ride, they could have totally done Jurassic Park too (just saying)

i kinda find the whole anti screen argument funny because it should be obvious that screens are just a stepping point for when holograms became better which look it up holograms exist already they will replace screens and the anti screen people will jump behind holograms even though in a sense they are screens

I think there's a place for screens. I like Transformers, but we don't need another just like it... But with dinosaurs!!

I like what they can do with AAs nowadays.

AAs, particularly human AAs, still have that wax museum feel, IMO.

Yeah, I thought of you when I saw the Goblins at EFG and Johnny Depp in pirates. I think they look incredible. And so do the AAs at the American Adventure. I don't see the waxy thing at all, especially compared to how unrealistic I found the 3D actors at EFG. Just wasn't impressed by it, really.

The Goblins don't bother me. First they are far enough from Human and the movements are very subtle. Sort of like the hall of presidents. Which I still think is one of the most convincing use of AAs. Their subtle movements look realistic.

If done right like the Jack Sparrow AA, then they don't. The Sparrow AA, Obama, Lincoln, etc are all examples of really good human AAs.

Yeah, those Sparrow AA's on the refurbed POC are excellent. I was stopped in those rooms during breakdowns and I could have sworn they were real people.

If this was Disney, you know they would have made audio animatronics of the athletes and stuck em up there instead of screens! Smh... ;) (I kid, I kid...)

I still don't understand why I should care about the jumbotron. The whole reason people go to sports bars is to watch games INSIDE of the restaurant with a bunch of other like-minded sports fans.

Holograms inside REAL sets, that's good for me. if they build real sets and have holograms in them doing things, that would be cool too.
Gringotts is nice and has some real sets, but I wish they did more real sets in the ride. I don't know how possible it would have been, but maybe had real tracks where the hologram of the car with Harry talking would show up.

I wish the ride had scenes like the Bill Weasley’s office waiting room. I know the ride has a couple of scenes like that, but... couldn't the whole ride have more scenes with real sets instead of just a screen? (Best of both worlds?)

This year brings us the release of virtual reality devices like Oculus Rift, HTC Vive, and PlayStation VR. With these new toys being able to give people immersive experiences at home, do you think it will make it harder for theme parks to wow people with screens?
