^ This is my opinion and not my knowledge of what is going on. I do not believe they cannot leave a bunch of junk under the sand as it would create an unstable building substructure for the future. Also, as someone else here pointed out, they cannot leave the smooth concrete surfaces or shark tanks as they would fill up with common water runnoff turning the fill into quicksand. So, the substructure needs clear drainage and stable fill. I could be generally wrong, but I doubt it.

thats what i was thinking but its weird that the other sharks are still there.

As depressing as they are, those are some great aerial pics.

I assume they want it open as long as possible, but I question how long that path stays open through Amity? With demolition moving along quite well, I'd assume they'd start demolishing the rest of Amity in a matter of months, if not sooner. And when that path does close, I wonder if a temp bridge will be installed connecting San Francisco and World Expo, similar to the one used at IOA during Phase I.

With the lagoon show being installed, I doubt it.

I don't think it's necessary. I think the path (street) they have now is probably going to remain the same for the new land. Otherwise, I'm gonna assume they'll move the street closer to the lagoon, but still keep that direct path from San Francisco to the Fear Factor Live theater.

When the path through the area formerly known as Amity does close, I hope they would place the Bruce photo-op somewhere else in the park. I do enjoy giving him some love whenever I'm in the Studios.

Don't know how reliable the source is, but I read that it's being relocated to the side of Lombard's.

They really stepped up their game. Island & Buildings: GONE, Sharks: GONE. Love the boat track-rails piled up in the top right of this photo:

Other photos show one of the boats knocked off its track and partially destroyed. So, that is how they are going to deal with the boats I guess. Just rip'em to pieces.

What is the deep basement like thingy on the left side of the island in this shot. What was that? It appears it might be as deep as the shark tanks. Was that the water control? These pictures make the Jaws attraction more interesting to me than it ever was running.

And, in a wee bit of goofy foreshadowing... why are the huge propane tanks still in place? (as seen in the wide photos, not this one)
