This rumor has been around forever. I'll finally believe it if and when it is announced. It makes sense for them to do it now because the next Monsters movie comes out in 2013 (it was pushed back a few months).

Yeap and DHS needs some TLC to it as well as it does need a couple of more attractions IMHO, but AK needs them more.

You'll see an expansion to DHS before DAK.

Only thing being talked about with DAK right now is only having it open 5 days a week during the off season.

Yes, I'm being serious.

Won't happen. Even if Disney Animal Kingdom dropped to being less popular somehow than Universal it would still be making huge profits. They like money too much.

Wow....who would've ever thought a Disney theme park being certain days of the week only.

Tell me you're joking. That would be the STUPIDEST thing Disney could ever do!

I'm not joking. It'll probably never happen, but it has been mentioned.

And while I think it would be a terrible move, it wouldn't effect me much. I never go to DAK anymore. The park is so devoid of anything I want to do it amazes me.

I'd hate to say it, but it's really hard for me to spend even half a day at DAK...there's nothing all that exciting (except for Dinosaur, Everest, Kilimanjaro, and Kali) there for me to do. Usually after several hours I grow bored and want out.

DHS if I had to guess, but neither is likely to get a massive expansion anytime soon, IMO.

quick question, some employee did mention to me that they have blueprints already for a new park and that disney most likely has started to work on this project at an undisclosed location in orlando. Im guessing that's completely false. I figured I ask you since you work for walt haha. wouldn't we see permits etc?

I won't everyone to know that I don't want this to happen and I'm not trying to justify it.

However, I would like to point out that an abundance of theme parks that are open year round are open only a few days a week during the off-season. I don't want it to happen. I think it would be a terrible idea but, I can kind of see why in terms of profit they might want to justify it. Especially since they might not be making overhead on those days.

There's no new park being worked on. DAK and DHS don't get the kind of attendance they want as is. There's no way they'd add another park into the equation right now.

And I formerly work for Walt.
