Sinners is gonna be such a huge get for HHN, can't believe anyone is even doubting 1) if it makes sense tonally and 2) if it makes sense locationally. We've had mazes with way less. HHN once did a solid 1/3 of a maze based on THE GIRL IN THE BLUMHOUSE OPENING LOGO. And in that same maze was UNFRIENDED. And one of the worst horror movies I've ever seen, Truth or Dare. And honestly? That maze was a banger.

And yeah Murdy, after Eternal Bloodlines, please ruminate for a LONG while. I suspect UCM will be taking another year off after Scooby Doo at FFN as well. Honestly the only thing left I really want is the Gillman, but it looks like I won't be getting that anytime soon.

I feel like if they can do A Quiet Place or Chucky, they can do Creature. The budget concerns that prevented the Creature suit were from back in 2018.

Wasn’t exclusively budget concerns, for what it’s worth…

If you're wondering about costume designs for Gilman being an issue, Depths of Fear from HHN 29 is an excellent example why Creature would be very challenging...

fwiw, it does sound like USH figured out the Gillman costumes for atleast FFN. You can actually spot visual media of Gillman in media for Scooby Doo meets The Universal Monsters.

I wonder if the problem is a tonal shift for how you'd display the Creature--alongside difficulty for visibility for the gillman actors.

They didn’t. That’s why they’re not there.

They made media for the screens around Little Europe--those media actually does include Gillman (unless if I am mistaken and this is infact, *not*, Gillman).

I'm not discrediting that he isn't physically there, but they are seemingly trying to figure something out.

You said "fwiw, it does sound like USH figured out the Gillman costumes for at least FFN."

They didn't.

Media playing in the window for a few seconds isn't the same as a costumed walk-around character.

That's fair, and I'll take my L on the wording as it was not as good.

But I do think considering how Hollywood has never had a Gillman costume for any of the HHN events, the fact they were able to get one step through the barrier with the costume is a good sign (The only time I could've sworn Gillman has been in our Universal Monsters houses has been his head bust being inside one of the test pods in Bride of Frankenstein Lives (and I could even be wrong in that, I could've sworn Orlando had that element (and then prior to that, having him physically in the 2019 house)).

I don't think this type of media is indicative of anything regarding HHN, personally.

Creature has never appeared at HHN Hollywood. He was supposed to be in the 2018 house in the museum / collection room with Mummy and Renfield. Costume/mask/creature suit went through multiple iterations and proved to be too cumbersome.

What you see at Fan Fest is more or less what it would’ve looked like. It’s why the mask doesn’t resemble the OG Creature beyond the broad strokes — it’s the “scary” redesign.

Kinda funny to think about it when they had a full-blown Xenomorph costume for AVP back then.
