From personal experience, people don't really ride Jurassic at night because of the cold. I could be wrong. I think that'd be a good trade off and since the attraction is brand new I doubt many would even notice it's closed or complain about it; at least for 2026.

Brother there is no way they will close Jurassic World during HHN. People are not gonna be happy about that. Besides the park needs to add capacity, not replace it.

The ride has a replacement in this scenario. If anything it'd add capacity because about would be more willing to wait more for the brand new roller coaster than the water ride that's always been there

While I agree the park needs to add capacity for the event--I have to think there are limitations to how much they can do without it costing something in turn. Especially with how bad things got last year with the queue flow of Jurassic, and how that also in turn negatively impacted other elements such as the bar.

I have to think at a certain point, you have to kill a darling in order to make sure you stabilize things. And I think the GP would be more accomodating if it meant the park's headline coaster operates during this time.

I don’t really agree. They can still operate a house in the JP extended queue and keep the ride open during HHN. Is it a mess, sure. Doable? Sure. I think they need to do whatever they can to keep JW open during the event as capacity is capacity. The GP will still want to do it for the sake of having something to do when the lines get crazy. After all, taking away capacity is a dumb business move. That means less people spending money at the event.

Please just bring back an irreverent version of the ride like Jurassic Park in the Dark was.

The Mummy having scare actors in the bug room part would be radical (Brendan Fraser did a promo where he stood there, it can fit people just a few adjustments)

More to that story, but that leak certainly didn’t help.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but was this akin to Beetlejuice in Orlando where they had to operate the house for a little in order to keep the rights and such for next year?

You know something as simple as turning out the lights on the indoor version would be a fantastic and cost less gimmick to get people onto the ride. I think you’re really cooking here.

They have the old raptors from the after Dark Disco ending at the Fan Fest area.....so if they were going to try Jurassic in the Dark again, this would not be a bad year to try it again
