Right but the small stego and the body of the ultrasaur are still there. The im hoping for a whole rip and replace on these dinosaurs. This isn't POTC or Jungle Cruise. I have zero nostalgia for the look of the original animatronics. I just want something as real as possible. So I hope that that is whats happening here. Some new paint wont do.

Well, I suggest you keep working on that time machine then!

I do confess that I was also hoping for an entirely new (or mostly new) fleet of AAs, given the lengthy refurb.

Short of that, I hope they get the old ones working more smoothly and consistently. If we get to this time next year, and things are already back to being pretty creaky again, that would be a misfire.

With the amount of time this is going to be down, the objective should be that it should come back looking better than it ever has.

I just want entirely new upgraded raptors. The rest is fine.

Although the ride is better off without anything in scene 1. Ultrasaur has always been a broken neck monster.

Stegosaurs, Hadrosaurs, Spitters, and Rex have always been solid (when the figures are in good shape). It's the Ultrasaur and the Raptors that have never been very convincing.

I agree, though. The length of this refurb warrants a complete rebuilding of the figures, similar to what several of the key characters in ET Adventure received.

Well we know we are getting brand new boats at least.

A lot of the refurb is most likely about updating all the old ride systems. Replacing and repairing what animatronics they can.

Hopefully all of them are brand new but I’m not sure that’s realistic in this time frame.

Granted Japan’s version was probably in better condition than ours but they didn’t change a lot did they?

The timeline here is very similar to Hollywoods timeline. They can make some pretty stark changes if they wanted

I think Hollywood’s was a little more cut and dry since it was a retheme.

Coming from Hollywood to say, you will miss the Ultrasaur when he’s gone. :sob:

Hollywood's Ultrasaur operated way better then Florida. It might as well have been a static statue. Plus you had a baby too. I get missing it. But I have ridden the new version and I don't hate it, maybe its because I was in JW, but i like the damn thing.

I would like a new figure with a less extreme range of motion.

I would be happy with a limited range Ultrasaur. Just keep the neck up and have the head move around a bit - maybe a tail.

I’d be fine removing the Ultrasaur entirely and replacing it with another also impressive, but not as massive, Sauropod. Maybe multiple.

The only issue with switching to a different species would be that the narration would have to be altered somehow.

AI should have zero issue with that.

It would take a 25 year old 10 mins to do.
