Someone can correct me if I’m wrong, but my understanding is a combination of COVID and the death of Chadwick Boseman seriously delayed this project, which has since morphed into Infinity Defense.

Yeah, the ride that was going to split apart is no more....we aren't 100% on what the new ride will be but I assume some like a Scoop ride system like Transformers/spiderman 3D

I am far more versed in Universal lingo and happenings than Disney but I wonder if the attractions are going to get plussed like Villains Land over in Orlando was rumored to be. The SCOOP ride system has made some awesome stuff (Spiderman The Ride, Transformers The Ride, Jurassic World Adventure in Beijing) so I'm not complaining personally. We'll just see if Disney decides to cheap out and make it like Transformers where it's solely screens or more like Jurassic World Adventure with full fledged animatronics and effects.

I would keep your expectations humbled. Concept art seems to imply this will be a VERY screen-heavy attraction. Best case scenario I could see us getting one or maybe two AAs in the queue.
