That would be great! I do NOT want to see "Dangerous Waters" again.

Obviously this is impossible, but I've wondered before what an RE overlay of Jurassic would look like. The sets and plot would make it a really seamless transition. Just replace all the dinosaurs with various zombies and monsters.

A Waterworld show would be really great too, but I feel like it'd be expensive to create all the costumes.

Dinos just need zombification.

Universal has enough money. Let's not act like they're poor. It wouldn't be that expensive, but the reality is, they want to be cheap (just look at the FNAF "showroom" with only Freddy on stage)

Unless the 9th house sneaks up, the final page treatment has come at 161 pages.

Could be wrong, but looks like that post from Murdy is from May of 2025.

Ah! Thank you--missed that and I am mistaken. Fixed now.

This is what happens when you wake up earlier than you should :sob:

On this day in 2022...

Mummy tent went erect. And so was one of the Curious George tents (but with plywood!!).

I miss annual black tent watch during this time of year

have they just lowered the time they need to build houses because June is basically the earliest we’d see that house now

With FanFest Year 2, we'll see if it affects HHN construction.. BUT I don't think it will.

It is officially March, keep an eye on Curious George & T-Pad. I double checked. By mid/late-April we had tents for Curious, t-pad, Mummy, Parisian & Jurassic all erect. Each with varying stages of plywood.

I don't think the current Jurassic experience will affect Mummy's tent due to it's proximity but we'll know soon enough. Haunt season approaches

Welp since it’s looking like Stranger Things is happening one last time, I have to wonder if they will take the “best of” approach from the entire series? I think that would be the best thing to do considering there isn’t a ton to work with in the last season that hasn’t already been explored. Besides it would be great to finally do the Mindflayer justice.

I've said it earlier, but Season 5 is already a "best of" season that takes bits and pieces from every other season as it is:
We got the Turnbow House to replace the Byers House with a Demogorgan attack to ape season 1.
We got the Demodogs in the hospital to replace the Demodogs at the Lab, and the Mac-Z replaces the lab sets to ape season 2.
We got the Mindflayer monster at the Abyss to replace the Mindflayer monster at Star Mall to ape season 3.
We got Vecna both in an out of his lair, with added Henry and make-believe Creel house dimension for retread to ape season 4.

It's gonna be Season 5 and we currently have no reason to believe otherwise.
Even if it is wishful thinking, Season 5 is already a pretty unoriginal attempt at rehashing the entire series as is - so we're going to more-or-less get that anyways. Why chase down actors to portray literal children again when we can have older actors portray older actors portraying kids? lol I just think Season 5 is the finale and the execution of it will be a no-brainer for creative.

The melted hospital/lab facility with the bodies stuck in the floor/walls pretty much looked like it was ready for HHN. It gave me major "nope" vibes because I knew there'd be multiple scares mixed with dummies lol

The mineshaft scene was another obvious for HHN

While Season 5 is for the most part out of mind/out of sight (like the entire series), it has plenty to work with without having to be a full series best-of recap. I don't even want to wish this evil on us, but we could get Season 5, then HHN 2027 get the full recap o_O:scream:

It ain't an authentic Season 5 experience unless they have an actor playing Will coming out to us total strangers, and we have to stand there for 8 minutes before moving on.

Universal studios Hollywood will always take the cheap route no matter what. They literally have never spent money on this park besides Harry Potter and maybe the rollercoaster without cost cutting lol

Guys, come on. The Universal parks in general underspent on the parks in the early 2000s after the one-two punch of the botched launch of Islands of Adventure and the soft travel market post-9/11. They were on thin ice and not doing well. Potter (and a series of changes in ownership) dramatically changed their fortunes, which is when they started spending aggressively -- Potter, Nintendo, and now the Fast & Furious coaster.

I'd personally argue TF was the one that sparked the lighter for things, with Potter reinforcing (even if it didn't do as well as USH wanted). Things have turned up for the better, and that's now starting to be reflected with seasonal quality.

Meanwhile,

Assuming if the wording is right, then I think we have 9 house treatments? There was a treatment he wrote back in 2025 in April right as he finished writing for the event on house treatments for the 2025 season, and he never gave word of what it was for.

If Universal is under spending on HHN then what the hell is Disneyland after dark events? lollllll

Not saying they could not improve things but last year didn't feel cheap to me

Last year definitely felt like a big reinvestment after a lackluster 2024. Hoping this year stays at that level of quality!

The fact that we’re rumored to only get one complete repeat instead of the 2 1/2 we got last year is encouraging to hear. Even then there should allegedly be some cool additions to the repeat. If we get mostly new content for HHN this year paired with the level of production quality we got last year, I think we’re in for a stellar year! It would also finally break the “every other year” stigma (Even though I think 2024 is a little over-hated).
