It's a Jekyll and Hyde park running as a Lottery. Bottomline. ....You have to play it by ear.

Monsters is no longer listed as part of EPA starting Feb 1. Just “select attractions in SNW, Ministry, and Berk.” I’d say rope drop ministry if possible.

Seems like they keep playing around with this trying to get a winning formula, sans opening breakdowns history.

Damn, I'm actually ticked that Hiccups and DK are removed right after being added.
Monsters really has no need for EPA with it being low wait times all day long for the most part.

They probably have Monsters included since it's probably more reliable operationally than most any other attraction, and has that high capacity. When most every other attraction is broken at early opening, at least there's one operating attraction.

Let's see how long that line up lasts. :lmao: Seems like they've deviated from that already and they just kind of throw stuff against the wall and see what sticks.

Well, today actually started out OK and the only significant downtime has been Donkey Kong Mine train (par for the course). It will be interesting to see how the Presidents/Valentines week goes, since that has evolved into one of the busiest times at WDW and Universal. Guessing they sell up to the apx. 25,000 ticket max most days.

It'll be interesting to see what officially advertising Potter as open will do. If folks must meet Toothless then I think EPA would be the best time.

Definitely stay away from Ministers early entry. The GP, not knowing better, will flock to Paris. ...Toothless could be a walk on.

Even Donkey Kong?

DK and Ministry are the two rides I’m concerned about.

It all depends on if there's breakdowns early.

I've done three strategies:
  • Just get in line for DK.
  • MK then Yoshi.
  • Ministry.
The first one worked OK, but it still took the best part of 90 minutes or more to get through due to a long line, late opening, etc. If you have multiple days, it might be a good one and done strategy. We never went on DK again.

The second worked well; we got MK and Yoshi done by 10am, then did Werewolf three times just before 10 when they opened DU, then Monsters. It gets a lot done quickly, before MK builds up a line shortly after 10.

Ministry - quite good too. The line is nowhere near as bad as they claim during EPA I found. I joined the back of a posted 105-minute line in frustration at all other EPA attractions being Delayed so as to be in a line for something/anything, but it only took 55 minutes. By the time I was off, I got a couple of Werewolf rides in with a very short SRQ (posted 25-minute wait only).

It really depends what opens when, and you need to be prepared to flex. On my Ministry morning I walked all over Celestial park about 3 times checking out what was going on - made worse by the app not showing some open rides as being open (e.g., Ministry, Hiccup's).

Thanks. Your post sums up sooo much of what happens most days. A guest needs to be flexible, as you said, and not be glued to a particular touring plan. Namely, play it by ear. Every day is different. And, as I've said often, the apps are not accurate concerning whether an attraction is open/closed/delayed. That's a real problem for guests and results in a lot of unnecessary walking.

Is there a lot of stuff in the queue for Ministry that would be missed if you did Express? The party I’m going to with is leaning heavily toward express.
