Uni can’t add or remove anything from it and it’s licensed out from their direct competitor who will never grant them permission to build a new ride or do a major update for the area ever again.

This is wrong. Marvel/Disney can only make reasonable objections, based on something not matching their character "bible." If Universal wanted to add an Iron Man coaster or Captain America dark ride tomorrow, they could.

They choose not to because 1) they don’t need to, so they 2) prioritize other areas of the resort.

While Legacy nails it, to stress, there is no "hornets nest." These are two multinational corporations, with hundreds of divisions, not the Internet Theme Park Community. Approval of a new ride would be no more of an issue than approval of the design of Spider-Man on bedsheets to be sold at Wal-Mart.

Exactly. Differences between corporations are exaggerated, most especially companies with film industry ties. They all cooperate with
one another on so very many levels. They're really not 'enemies', in the pure sense, just competitors.......One defining example: Universal
invited the Disney Board to tour Diagon when it was first built. The outcome of that tour was the Disney Board was so impressed by
Diagon that they ordered theme park executives to upgrade the Star Wars plans from a small lackluster land to the present GESWL.
Especially in Orlando, one company's success in bringing tourists to Orlando generally helps the other company too. Universal profited
greatly from Hogsmeade. So did Disney.
