I mean… did they show Joel getting saddled with Ellie after Tess dies? That’s a pretty important scene too.

I get the desire for that specific scene, but think about from a business perspective: If I’m building a haunted house, and I’m about to drop $50,000 grand to design, build, decorate, and cast a scene (of which I have a limited number), do I want to spend that money on something with no logical scares? That question becomes more important when it’s not actually setting up an unknown story. The people who have played the game (and seen season 2), know what starts it. The people who don’t don’t NEED to know for the rest of a house that doesn’t focus on character motivations.

it could just be a joel mannequin on the floor with a double scare (abby and ellie, from both sides)

I think for the purpose of The Last of Us: Part 2, you would want to focus and centralize on what exactly made Seattle such a fascinating example for ND storytelling. The Dual-perspective storyline that interweaves and goes alongside eachother as Ellie and Dina enter Seattle, and as Abby & Lev begins to go out and deal with the problems facing them allows you the chance to pull a lot.

I'd honestly spitball and wonder if Orlando could go and do a route that might have them use one of the bigger soundstages for this; if only to allow them to pull a Dueling Dragons and to have split-path sequences as a core part of the house.

It doesn't have to include Joel to make it work, the story is not his to be highlighted. It's the story of Ellie and Abby, and of how they process their emotions after tragedy befalls onto them (and in how revenge can turn someone into the worst version of themselves). I think you have a lot of potential with that in mind as a HHN house.

I don't think Lev will be in the house unfortunately. The casting for that character would be complicated since he's trans, also... the way the world is right now, I would fear for the safety of the actors playing him. Especially in Florida. Also about the split-path idea, I don't think it's necessary but it would be cool. I'm not really against it but like I said, feels a little unnecessary. It also depends on the scale of the house, would be nice if they made TLoU 2 a mega house (ST2-3, TWD EOTL, Poltergeist) tbh.

I know. But I'm just saying including the golf scene (I hate that I have to keep labeling it this way but I dont want to spoil it for those who don't know) I think would set the tone/story of the house really well. I guess we'll have to wait and see how they do it.

I do genuinely think if there is any IP that could easily justify a mega house, it's probably The Last of Us 2, if only because of how much content there is to pull. But I do also think it wouldn't be a shock if it's just in SS22.

As for Lev, I understand that and I hope that UOR tries to do something with that (almost have to think it should be easier for Hollywood atleast to get an actor who could play Lev); but I also completely understand that the political climate in Orlando might take issues if they see UOR openly having Lev portrayed and represented.

I'd like to be wrong on that.

Nah I call it the golf scene too, though I think it might make more sense to have a dialogue moment where Ellie thinks on things; before having to be shaken back to reality.

Also hoping Orlando if TLOU2 is infact happening, gets a bunch more from ND in the terms of voiceover. With how much VO work was done for Hollywood; it's genuinely kind of surprising how little there was for Orlando.

This is a fundamental element of an effective scare. The character in a haunt has to have a legitimate reason to target the GUEST. If not, then you end up with book report scenes that people find underwhelming (the big complaints about the Ghostbusters 2019 house and the Beetlejuice house related to this). That scene, apart from someone in Abbie’s crew asking us why we’re there, has no aggressive motive toward anyone but someone else in the scene.

I think both Abby and Ellie will be key points of the marketing for this house. (Much like Joel and Ellie were)

Maybe one of the coasts will have a dual path where you follow each point of view or maybe one coast will focus on one of the characters.

The biggest parts of the game that they should include are the hospital scene, seraphites, and maybe a couple of Ellie’s takedowns.

I think Hollywood has the potential to go big on having both Ellie & Abby represented. We know from Nightmare Trilogy that atleast on a facade level; that they are willing to diverge and have differing actors as a focal point as part of the facade. I think as a result, we might see a similar mentality applied overall for us if we get it; allowing A and B casts to be Ellie + Dina, and Abby + Lev for Hollywood.

It'd essentially force people to do multiple runs, which would give it a hook.

Side note: These are just the one that I saw. I may have missed some. If you went to feel old, scroll through the list of anniversaries.. lol.

A Rocky Horror zone would be the biggest photo-op zone to ever zone. It would be legitimately miserable for most people.

It is indeed, meaning Dr Frankenfurter is a Disney Princess (or Queen) following the Disney acquisition of Fox
