It will be odd to not see the lift or non-inverting loop in the skyline but I think a more low to the ground F&F Coaster makes more sense for this area. It doesn't really need a lot of theming (see Hollywood Drift) to work. Now what happens over at Supercharged is a different story. I imagine any big IP that goes in that spot as a ride will alter the rest of San Fran unless they shoehorn it into the land.

Giving a thoughtful pause and wondering with the sake of a potential MDC--would they need to expand the area size of the west-section of the ride to go beyond that of the firehouse? Not as familar with UOR, but I'd assume they could work a support structure that goes over that of the SS24 queue area, no?

Absolutely. I wouldn't be surprised if the main queue space for the HHN warehouses is gone and reworked if this project needs it.

I'm thinking that the station will be in between Fallon and Mummy, with the first 2/3rds taking up the current HRRR space and then using the parking lot at the end.

If it is a F&F coaster I really hope they take a minimalistic approach to theming. Really don't want corny Dom sayings or seeing the Rock anywhere during the ride. They have become so cheesy and cliché. Just muscle car theme with a brief clip or 2 of Dom and the "family".

They should advertise it as an AA but as he is always late on set that raises the price of his "movies" with $50M they could say that at last minute they found a wax replacement that does act much better.

He should be waiting for you at the top of the vertical lift.

I can't believe they got rid of Kickstart My Heart and Stronger... my brother chose the former when he rode, and his friend chose Can't Touch This! If I ever rode, then I was going to choose Stronger because that's how I'd feel after the vertical lift. And I heard it's getting removed?? First Kingda Ka, now this?? WHY ARE THEY REMOVING NOSTALGIC COASTERS?!?!

Been a long time. But figured I’d put my two cents in cause a few things don’t make sense. I have no inside knowledge, I’m just sharing my thoughts is all.

- Why put in another Fast and Furious attraction in Studios at this point? The first one failed horrendously and how much merch sales are you really going to gain from reusing the franchise you essentially ran into the ground.

- Hollywood is different. A scene in a tram tour is much different than a stand alone attraction. You can’t have two stand alone attractions in two different sections of the park. Can you? lol Plus do you really want to give people another FF coaster after Hollywood? Why not a completely different theme.

- If these Intamin permits are for the replacement of Rockit you already have a fully viable franchise that fits directly into New York that would instantly have an impact on attendance, merchandise sales, and even food and beverage. I mean hell you already have the facade, sort of.

- If I was in charge I’d put a Ghostbusters Intamin Blitz coaster with a fully themed firehouse entrance smack dab in the middle of New York. Theme the cars to Ecto-1 and theme it to chasing ghosts. I mean given the success of the “reboot” of the franchise with I believe at least one more movie coming it imo just makes so much more sense than another Vin Diesel family is forever clone from another US Park.

I think a Ghostbusters coaster could be really cool, but I think it would work better as a highly themed indoor coaster, rather than a mostly un-themed outdoor one. I imagine Rockit's eventual replacement will fill the void of a pure thrill coaster within USF, and if it has to be themed to an IP, F&F is the easiest thematic fit for the ride system. With Ghostbusters, I feel like there is an expectation for a more highly-themed and family friendly attraction, and I'm not sure if that's possible in the space that Rockit resides in.

Agreed, the less Fast the better on both coasts. It makes sense for Hollywood Drift because of the location, culture and ride system, but the franchise hasn’t really even been culturally relevant since Fast 8.

It would be nice if a FF RRR replacement led to Supercharged being replaced ASAP, but it would be even nicer if the RRR replacement was something else and they got rid of Supercharged anyway.

it is going to be freaky to have 2 fast and furious rides in one park. this isn't Potter lol
and will one ride compete with the other? lol

I guess you also have the two Jurassic rides in islands but they compliment each other. both are liked.

If both rides will co-exist for some time, I imagine Supercharged will move to seasonal operation, and only run when they need the capacity. Universal sees F&F as one of their important in-house IPs that needs to be represented in their parks. If a F&F coaster is the way they'll eventually get rid of Supercharged, I'm all for it.

I’d obviously prefer Ghostbusters, but I don’t see it happening. It would be too good. And we don’t deserve to be happy.

I think Ghostbusters would be much better-served by a dark ride or special effects showcase show than a high-thrill coaster with a height requirement.

But if the only choice was either a F&F coaster or a GB coaster, I'd obviously take GB. Because I have infinitely more fondness for it as a property.

I am of the mindset that after Fast 11 the IP needs to die and stay dead.

But considering how outdoor coaster are barely themed, F&F is a fine thing to theme it too. Let Ghostbusters have a dark ride that can do the IP justice.
