I get it's a contractual thing but uh.. wouldn't Marvel still make money in this case? What exactly is the reason to not allow it? lol

My assumption is that Marvel wanted to prevent Universal from selling (for example) Spider-Man t-shirts online because it would undercut the profit they could make by selling them themselves. So, it's not a matter of "would Marvel make money on this" (maybe?) but more that they'd make more by selling a "similar" shirt themselves.
It still sucks out loud, though.

Makes sense, and I'm glad they were able to make this cross-IP merch at all given the licensing.
Before Marvel was bought by Disney, Spider-Man and sometimes The Hulk were being featured on cross-IP merch for the parks. Same thing with The Simpsons before Disney bought out Fox.

Interestingly enough, Spidey was featured on cross-IP merch even after Disney bought Marvel.

Please just finally release the full queue/area soundtrack for Hulk!
Still got until May 28th, but really hoping to see IOA celebrated with some decor/banners for its 25th. I know historically Universal is very anti-celebration, but they've obviously turned the corner on nostalgia. Out of all the parks in Orlando, it's the least most "celebrated" in terms of special events for it. Even DAK got a full line of merchandise/lite decor and a few special things last year for its 25th.

I would love to get a soundtrack re-release from the original opening and include the new things from HP or whatever (if anything) has been added over the years.
I actually like the shirt and would get one if they sold it online!
Any estimates on how long the merch will be available? I might be able to swing through CityWalk next month but I'm afraid they may pull it before then.

Don't think you have to worry, they have it all over IOA and CityWalk stores now. Doesn't look like it's a limited release, lots of shirts available.I actually like the shirt and would get one if they sold it online!
