My bets on a version of Shanghai's Zootopia land coming to both DHS+DCA. It just makes too much sense, especially for DCA.

It makes little sense to bring Zootopia to DHS given the E-ticket is essentially MMRR.

Also, a land that has one ride is not a land, it's a ride with a really, really fancy queue. I'd much rather see the rumored Moana boat ride. Both DHS and DCA could use a boat ride imo.

DCA could also use a trackless ride at some point in the future as well. Maybe they could be bringing another trackless ride to DHS in this hypothetical new land but it will be distinct enough to set it apart from MMRR. another possibility is DCA gets an area exclusive to it as a Hollywoodland replacement.

So I guess by that logic lands like Diagon Alley, MoM, etc are just "really, really fancy queues". Sureeeeeeeee.

I agree that Zootopia wouldn’t be best for DCA. While I also do agree that DCA could really use a boat ride, assuming they’re using the Disney Forward space for Avatar, that will be DCA’s boat ride.

I would argue DCA needs a highly themed family coaster more, especially if there is already plans for Avatar. I’m really hoping that the land planned for Hollywoodland is Monstropolis. I really want to see that Door coaster.

We would not have HE without Diagon so I count that and Ministry will have a big ticket show from day 1 which is essentially an attraction. Diagon also offers multiple types of entertainment on the stage. We also got the beautiful London area which also has entertainment at the Knight Bus.

Zootopia literally has no second attraction be it a show or not and entertainment is limited to M&Gs. It’s a terrible excuse for a land. It wouldn’t even net you a positive gain in rides to the park as you’d have to replace MI to put Zootopia in that area.

Sorry to go on an armchair rampage, but I wanted to throw my two cents into some wishful thinking here:

I would really like that animation building be put to some good use. I would love for it to be used for the full version of PhilharMagic. If they want to maximize the space, they could relocate Turtle Talk to somewhere else in Pier. It’s a very small show so they can find space to do it if they REALLY wanted to. They could put it in that Bing Bing shop.

To change things up and make things hire efficient, they could have an improved animation academy like what’s there now as the preshow lobby for PhilharMagic. They can give off a notice every few minutes announcing that the show will begin in 5 minutes. It would be kind of like the lobby for Fallon at USF. They can even have some more interactive exhibits at the exit lobby if the show. Theres plenty of room for the full version of the show and to have a couple of lobbies to accommodate all of this. Heck, you could get away with shrinking the theater a tad for more space.

Oh and the old space for the show? Bring back the Muppets. Boom. Now you’re maximizing the spaces, bringing back Muppets, giving PhilharMagic its fullest potential, and not only are you not taking away the animation academy, but you would improve upon it! The layout would simply be adjusted.

Disney filed to replace some electrical stuff in philharmagic

So I assume it’s staying

Which I’m good with, it’s a great place for an afternoon relax and takes up not much space anyway

There was actually a permit that came out recently for Philiarmagic to be refurbished. It states: The permit is for electrical work to “Replace stage lighting, projector controls and control equipment” and “Add power circuits for new control equipment.”

A lot of theme park fans would love for MV3D to come back to the parks, but knowing Disney, that would be too good to be true.

IMO, Philharmagic will stay until the plot of land it sits on goes for a phase 2 of the Avatar land.

I think the animation building is one of the few positive vestiges of "Old DCA" and, if anything, should be refurbished and revamped rather than replaced. Excellent set of activities that anyone can do and provides a place to cool off when it's hot outside.

Saw the permit. It seems really minor. It’s literally just replacing electrical for lighting. It could still be used for the Muppets. Remember how Splash Mountain got a refurb right before it got converted to Tiana’s?

Grasping at straws here but I would love to believe I cooked with this idea! Lol Besides I really prefer we get the original version of the show here.

I don’t disagree. I walked in there on Wednesday and it was PACKED in there. If they go for my idea, they can still have a decent amount of space left to do this, but it would be redone.
