Well, it made the top story on Yahoo (the one you see when you go to the site)

imo, it's more they don't want people posing as these characters, taking pictures and otherwise causing any distractions whether shouldn't be. Yes, Disney has those things, but they are for kids. There's a reason the only time you're allowed to come in costume to a park is during Mickey's not so scary. The biggest reason of all is so that a character or Disney's image isn't ruined by someone who decided it would be a fun idea to cosplay at the park.I once was asked to change by a manager at MK because my shirt was offensive. I was wearing a "I'm surrounded by idiots" shirt that I had bought earlier that day at Cast Connection. I tried explaining, that to the clueless manager who had no idea it's a line from The Lion King but he wasn't listening. My question is though is if Disney doesn't want people walking around their parks dressed as characters then why have the pirates league, bibbity bobbity boutique or even sell princess dresses in the parks? Seems kind of hypocritical to me.

I have dated some petite women who definently could have fit in some of the larger children sized princess dresses though. I see your point. No child should see Cinderella kicking back and enjoying a Newport
He meant a regular adult female coming into the park dressed as Cinderella (which is why Disney doesn't allow it). They don't want people portraying these characters and at the same time doing things like smoking in costume or whatever it be. Things like that would reflect bad on Disney, so there's no point in risking it.They shouldn't see it because that Cinderella would be breaking the rules. No smoking in entertainment costumes/wigs.

Well, this thread was originally created bc of a girl who tried to enter the park as Tinkerbell, so it wasn't to far off the actual topic. All the Santa stuff just came into the thread later when there were reports of incidents with people posing as Santa Claus.Oh flop! My bad. I've been at work all day and came here first to post about Santa...but it appears he has left this thread?
