I thought this was worth sharing on David Bowie’s 75th birthday. “Cracked Actor: Live in Los Angeles 1974” took place at the Universal Amplitheater, later named the Gibson Amphitheater, which was demolished for WWoHP.

Adding another bit of media from this concert in honor of the 5 year anniversary of David Bowie’s death…

The Diamond Dogs tour renditions of “Space Oddity” are my absolute favorites. Bowie’s vocals are flawless and complimented beautifully by horns and piano. It’s quite theatrical too, as this footage shows Bowie pushing his live shows to great new heights. I’m still in awe that this took place at Universal Hollywood.
